We get married in just over 4 weeks and have to have numbers to thme in 2 weeks.
I am wondering how many we should cater for in the evening.
We get married at 4pm so will not be sitting dont to eat until 5.30pm for a 4 course meal...

We will be doing bacon/sausage/egg rolls and chip with wedding cake for desert. (easter eggs to as we get married easter sat ) Ware having about 20-30 extra evening guest and 90 for the meal. so max 120 in all.
I am not sure who many we should cater for in the evening as I do not want lots of wasted food as at my sil wedding last summer.

All the venues I saw told us to cater for 75% of our total number of evening guests. In your case I would probably cater for 100% though, as you're doing single items, not a buffet; so if you cater for 75% and 80% want a bacon roll, you're in a bit of a dodgy situation IMO.

It's a tricky one as its rolls so I'm guessing it will be one roll per person as a serving?

I'd be worried that everyone would want one...

We were told to cater for about 75 percent but that was for a buffet...xx

I think 75 - 80% would have you covered. I was at a wedding where it was a 1:1 ratio of bacon butties and wedges for the guests and it wasn't enough food. 2-3 sounds about right and there will be people that aren't hungry.

Wow, 2-3?! OK, in that case I think 75% would be MORE than enough.Your day guests will be eating late (even factoring in the 'false hunger' triggered by drinking, I reckon they'll be pretty full until at least 9pm), and I imagine most of your evening guests will eat dinner before coming.

TBH you could probably get away with catering for 60% I reckon, as that would still provide 1-2 pp, plus chips; but, I tend to prefer to have too much food than too little so would probably g for around 70% myself.

What time are they serving the rolls?
Will all additional 30 turn up?

If not I'd cater for abit less due to everyone eating so late.

JennyS- 75% of 90 guests would be 67 somid round up to 70.
We are having about 100 at night. When I did my engagement I invited 60/70 people about 3 quarters showed up I'd catered for 50 and there was loads left over. Somim going to tell the venue 65.
Save money and less wasted food.
