Eight will be fine, or maybe even earlier. It's nice for people to have a chat and a few drinks first before hitting the dance floor. We are having ours start at seven, band at half eight, buffet about quarter to ten xx

I would say eight. I've been to a couple of weddings where things ran over a bit and then you have the awkward situation of the evening guest turning up half way through pudding!

Are you having something between the pics finishing and the meal being served Shauna? We got married at 2.45pm, and once the pics were done etc the guests made their way back to the hotel, and we ate at around 5pm (drinks between 4.30 and 5). The meal finished about 7pm.

Our pics etc only took about an hour or so and the ceremony was about 3/4 of an hour - so maybe a 12pm wedding then pics would take the time to about 2 or 2.30pm??
