I was just wondering whether to put the money peom i used on day invites onto the evening invites or is it not the done thing, i'm not sure if its the done thing. Is anyone asking or adding gift list for the evening guests?

we have put information regarding gifts in all our invites .... i would still give a gift if i had been invited to the evening rather than the day
I would also buy the happy couple a gift if i was invited to their evening do. So i think it would be fine xx

We put our money poem in with the evening invites because I didn't want people buying us gifts out of kindness when we really only want money to a house deposit. Every evening invite I have received has always had the gift list in

I have two different money poems, one longish one for the day guests and then a shorter funny one for the evening. We also didnt want to run the risk (sounds so mean) of getting gifts

For those of you who have sent out money poems or a short saying asking for money instead of gifts, have you said anything about how to pay it?! I know it sounds weird but I can imagine most people would rather give a cheque than putting cash in an envelope?!I am sure we transferred money or wrote a cheque at a wedding we went to last year and the info for who to pay it to was on the invite!! We are going to ask for New Zealand dollars for our honeymoon I think. If we were invited to the evening we would certainly be buying the happy couple a gift! x
