We went to view a potential reception venue last night, and i thought it was great!
it a golf club, and looks very nice, as we drove up it looked like we were driving into an industrial estate!! which i was very dubious about, but turns out we drove in the wrong way! lol
anyway, they said if we were to have the reception there, we would have run of the whole top floor, which there is a main room for the reception, which holds upto 150 seated for dinner - which is plenty big enough for us, but also 2 samller rooms, 1 which has a HUGE tv in it, so i asked, and they said if i wanted i could have 1 smaller room for children, can take a WII etc. to keep them amused and use the other smaller room for chilling out, and they said they would put some sofas in there, but also a couple of cots if i wanted for babies - does anyone else think this is a good idea? i was thinking of hiring a childrens entertainer too while we were having speeches etc. but do you think that people will just congregate in the "childrens room" to play the wii? or all sneak off to the chill out room?
just after some opinions please :D xXx

i wish i had this option as most of my day guests are 55 or older. im not saying thats old but the 65+ all like there quiet, so im worried the disco will be way too much for them. i was going to have a small indoor bouncey castle for the children but i doubt there would be much room for it.

Wonderful idea! Our venue is all in the same room but there's a sort of enclosed bar so we've said that during the afternoon if the kids want to go and play they can and we're going to make activity packs for them plus take a few toys down.

It works out well because the kids don't get bored and the adults get some time out - well done you for finding that venue :)

    It's right what they say
"The course of true love never runs smoothly"
But if it had been easy then we wouldn't love each other as
much as we do right now - 1 week to go :D

I think people would go to the childrens room but not for the whole night.

Thats a brill idea hun, I don't think you would get lots of adults going in there...I think booze and a party usually appeals more to an adult then a quick play on the wii. But you never know! lol. x x x

lol well i have 3 children myself, so having them entertained is very important to me, and i think we have about 28 children coming, and then even more in the evening, - knowing my luck though, every1 will b crammed into the smaller room with the Wii and disco will be playing to an empty room! lol
