We have said from the start we were going to get our wedding rings engraved with our date on, so when our rings came in we paid £21 each for them to be sent off. Mine needed to go down half a size too as they could only order in full sizes - I'm a little K and a half. Because mine needed resizing Adams ring came back first and we love it. I have just had a text for SHamu3ls saying mine is ready for collection which I was really excited for. Originally the shop said because my ring is so thin they would have to engrave the top of it but on its side which I said was fine because I wanted them both done. Well anyway, I've had a missed call and a voicemail from the store to say that my rings back but they couldn't engrave it because it's too small! I'm really disappointed and not looking forward to get it now. If they had said that from the start we wouldn't have got either engraved, because what's the point in having one ring engraved? She said she'll discuss it with me when I come to collect but I'm not really sure what to expect :/
A girl I know who got married last year got her rings from sm00ch and hers was engraved fine and she is only an I and a half! So why can't shamuels??

That's a shame, they should really have held off doing your H2B's ring until they'd checked them both and told you that they couldn't do yours. I hope they give you your money back. Perhaps you could find a local jeweller who could do it.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

Feel really let down. The woman didn't sound so confident on the phone either. If they can't do it for whatever reason then I'll certainly be getting my money back and hopefully an apology.

Could it be the width is too thin? I'm H and a half and almost everywhere we've looked have said they'd be able to engrave if I want. You can always take the ring (and the refund of course) to another jeweller, possibly an independant one, and see if they'll have any better luck engraving it for you.

We've bought our rings from a local jeweller, and when he talked about engraving them he didn't mention that there would be any problem engraving mine. I'm size L and having a 3mm band. Like the others have said, maybe try an independent jeweller and see what they say :) x
