Hi there, My other half doesnt like the plain boring metal rings so he has been looking at pictures of rings online and he has now decided he wants one thats engraved with a tyre tread as he loves cars and bikes and wants something special which im willing to allow. Thing is do i get a plain ring and have it engraved or do i go to someone who does these rings themselves? & do any of you know where i could get this done?

That's the first time I've heard of anything like that being done, I think if he's seen some ask him where as I haven't heard of any mainstream jewellers that do it ... You could ask so you know where u are though? X

Try independent jewellers, they'll be more flexible and either make one for you if that is a service they provide or could send it for engraving or do it themselves for you.
