Sorry to rant girls, but this has been going on too long now :( My H2B proposed on 5th November with a beautiful ring he had bought out of EJ, picked it himself, bless his cotton socks! Anyway about 3 weeks later I noticed the diamond was spinning in the setting, so took it back to get fixed, and when it came back the diamond was cracked, not major but still, it was faulty! So they agreed to replace it, so ordered me a new one. The new one had a clear inclusion right across the front of the diamond and I wasn't too happy so they ordered a new one. Ring 3 was 1/2 a size too big, so they ordered a smaller size. Ring 4 came, we picked it up on Jan 24th and it was perfect, beautiful diamond and fitted perfectly...until on Monday I noticed the diamond was spinning :( It has to go in tomorrow to get fixed. I am so fed up with it I could cry. Not had it on all week as I was too scared, and gonna be away for a week to get fixed :( Just hope this time they won't damage it when it is geting fixed.... Sorry for the long rant.... <3

I would be writing to their head office and getting some sort of compensation for this as it isn't good enough and they have taken off the shine of what should be the happiest time of your life.

Oh hun. I know how awful it feels to not be wearing the ring. I hate it when it goes to the jewellers to be cleaned and its only in there bout 2 hours!! lol

Oh this is awful hun. You must be upset beyond belief! I've got to put my ring in to get 2 beads put inside the ring to stop it spinning - it needs to be slightly too big for my finger as my hands swell so much with my arthritis. It's going to take....3WEEKS! I'll be going mad without it and this is nowhere near what you're having to go through! Kick up hell with them. x
H2B spoke to customr services about it the first time, and tbh they have been really helpful in getting it sorted, but I agree Jo, I as begining to not enjoy my ring anymore, worried what is gonna go wrong next :( Rebecca your ring should be covered by a guarantee if it isn't too old, check with where you got it about getting it reset, mine is getting done for free...hope it is alright <3 xx

yeah chick complain 4times is far too many times to be sending your rign back and all in the sapce of 3 months, you need some compensation maybe you can try get some money off of wed rings

sis had problems with diamonds falling out from same company too..... luckily it was insured but they first started falling out only the next day.... took two weeks to get back and a year later one has actually fallen out... hence lucky it is insured. She also had necklaces etc from said company and nothing but problems. Just goes to show that you cant always rely on the price you pay for something to assure you of its quality.... rediculous. Good luck with the ring though and keep an eye on it. One more problem, demand your money back as they have had soooo many chances to get this sorted.

If you do choose to go to another shop, I suggest H Samuel. That's where my fiancé got my engagement ring from. Only had a slight hiccup with one of the diamonds being missing, but I spoke to one of the sales assistants and they said that, as it was a manufacturing fault, they'd order me another one free of charge, so I was chuffed! Had no ring for two weeks, but having no problems with this one, and can't stop looking at it! :) Hope you get it sorted, love.

i think ej is the same company hs and i can not tell you how many times we had a problem with his engagement ring. so i am not surprised to hear you have had problems aswell. i would def ring head office or even better write them a snooty email. say you had chosen your wedding ring from there aswell to match your engagement ring even if you havnt! but there is no way on earth you are buying from them after all the hassel you have had!!
i bough h2b engagement ring as a surprise and was told if it doesnt fit they will change it. well it was too big. we went back and they measured his ring. the ring came and it was too small! measured his ring again and they said the first time they used the wrong measure...well that isnt our fault. it is the staff's! the ring came and although it was slighly tight they wouldnt change it again so he had to make do. last feb we went to rome and h2b noticed his ring was cracking so we took it back and they said they would repair it and it would take 4-6 weeks!! well after this time it wasnt back so i phoned them and they said they were having problems with it and would get it back after easter so it would be another 4 weeks. i wrote a long email to customer services and straight away i got a call saying it would be ready in a week. i went and picked it up and it wasnt shiny white gold, it was matt finish. they told me it was like that as they had replaced the whole band and only the 3 diamonds were original! i went mad in the shop and refused to accept it!! they then tried charging me over £1000 even tho the ring was only £150 and i had it insured! after a row with the shop staff they got out the display one and it was his size so swapped it and the staff were a bit shocked how different it was. needless to say i think they have very bad customer service and when reparing items they are rubbish!!

my h2b got my ring from the same shop and i have had to change mine twice for spinning and a chip, it looks like it has chipped again but they are telling me that it part of the cut of th ring. i am going to take it to another jewellers this week to see what they say about, i love my ring and love it even more coz h2b picked it his self. but if i am going tohave it for ever so i dont want to b worring the i will lose the diamond or it to be damaged. if mine is cracked like i think it is i will be getting my money back and going somewhere else. good luck hope you get it sorted. x

Thanks ladies, I feel like I am between a rock and a hard place, as H2B loves the ring and can't find any other he likes as much, but it has been soooo much hassel! I dropped it off today and spoke to the same guy that has been dealing with it from the start and he was soo appologetic, bless him it isn't his fault. He was gonna order me a new one but I asked if they could fix it, so it will be back on friday, fingers crossed! He also said he is gonna check it all over and make sure it is perfect before it goes so that he can check it is the same when it comes back! This guy is the only reason we havn't kicked up a fuss, he is so polite! But don't think we will be getting anything else from them :p (oh and it was a bridal set so I have the matching wedding ring, but could always see if could get some off of H2B ring, but not sure if we can be bothered with the hassel :p) <3

Hun I took mine back just an hour ago because my diamond was spinning- they said one of the prongs has raised slightly and they set it back and cleaned my ring for me all in 5 minutes- mine is from an independent jewellers and their workshop is upstairs in their shop- I would say definitely complain but also maybe try an independent jewellers because even though the ring is not from there they are still specialists- hope it's gets sorted xxx

awwww mine was from EJ and h2b got it 3 sizez too big for me LOL i went in to get it sized straight after we got back from holiday ( so been wearin it for a week wiv a ring infront of it lol) and iwent in and instead of re sizin that one they ordered me the ring in my size! thought that was gud of them! so sorry ure havin a ba ditme over it

dont know many ppl that havnt had problems with them my sisters just had her ring changed 4 times and its gone again apparently it keeps getting some sort of air bubble in the clasps which is y it keeps breaking how this is suppposed to help her i dont know so shes just ordered a different one shes given up id get ur money back no matter how much u like it this ring it will be with u for life hopefully so its gotta last xx

I always liked looking in the windows at the Jewellery for EJ but I personally find them expensive & the shop assistants really snobby, even when doing a repair or anything they are expensive.
I am glad I got my hubby's engagment ring from Argos (titanium) & I bought his ring from Ben Moss over here in Canada (tungsten carbide) I bought him harder metals as he is quite active & I didn't want them easily damaged, although he can't wear them to work as he works with chemicals.
He bought my engagement ring from Raffi's & wedding band from Ben Moss, I think they are wonderful, both stores, it's just a shame they don't have them back home, I even got free jewellery cleaner from Ben Moss lol.
I would demand compensation for sure, 1-2 times is ok, but not 4 times, that's just crazy!

Got my ring back today - again! It was lovely and shiny, just as perfect as before! H2B put it back on my finger in the same place he proposed, it was very nice. Also the guy we have been dealing with has arranged for us to get the ring re rhoduium(sp) plated for 5years, normally only 1, and gave us a box of chocolates! He also said he doesn't want to see us again, unless it is for H2B's ring, and I quite agree! So glad to have it back and for it to be sorted! Can finally put the receipt away! xx
