we have decided on a silver and white colour scheme for our engagment party, have found some lovely ballons, table swags and my nan is going to does us some white flowers with silver ribbons, but dont quite think it is enough have any of u girls got any ideas xx

yeah we where going to have the same colours as well but couldnt find any white and burgundy balloons etc.. that i like plus fancied something a little bit different for the party. i cant wait for the party only 1 month and 22 days oh exciting lol xx

Oooh that sounds lovely. I am having a cheap do at the local bowling club and didn't really plan on a theme. I have spotted an engagement cake that I really, really, really want but it's going to cost £120 and I don't want to pay that for an engagement cake when I have a wedding to save up for. Oh the dilemmas. lol. xxx

if you want a cake making just have "congratualtions" written on it and dont tell them its for an engagement, just tell them its for a graduation or something like that. you'll be amazed at the price difference. or get the ones from m and s and decorate it in your colours. I never even thought about having an engagemet party bit late now tho.

Do you have a cost co card - you could always buy one of their giant cakes - especially the yummy chocolate gateaux i keep eyeing up everytime we go.

Plus they do the make your own cake tops (like photo pic on cake) too.

no i dont have a card, but will be going to iceland for all that sort of stuff like gataues etc.. as they are really nice and a good price. food not really an issue as my mum is doing it im just stuck on the decorations as have got my balloons, will be ordering my table swags next week then the banners but not sure if i need to get any other decs or not xx

I think balloons swags and banners will be enough you don't want to overdo it and then the room looks too cluttered - sometime less is more so I honestly think you should just stick with that and sve yourself a bit of money aswell xx

I think that would be nice or maybe you could just get giant balloons to put at the entrance!! We had 2 Giant heart balloons at our entrance they were silver and they were lovely everyone commented on them and I didn't even know anything about them was MIL that brought them in with her so even something like that!!x

oh yeh love pics, i will be putting all mine up once i get them, my wedding photographer will also be taking our engagement photos so cant wait to see them xx

have bought some party poppers(mini canons) get 6 in a pack and some table confetti today from pound land, only got one pack of the mini canons as wanted to see what they where like first, so tried one at my nans and they are great some am going to get a few packs next week xx

yeah they are very messy but fun, they also do wedding ones but dont think i will be getting them as cant use them at our venue and i have made cones that will have white and burgundy petals in for the church xx

yeah i cant wait only got about 6-7 weeks to go now getting excited, just need to find something to wear lol xx

yeah i intend to lol, i had thought about it when we first got engaged but didnt think we could afford it, then a few months ago we thought about going out for and engagement/my 30th birthday meal, but when we worked out who had to be invite we where at about 45 which was just way to much so we then decided to have a party, and we got the DJ, hall and bar booked with in the week. my mum is doing the food and i have to decorate the hall, have already booked into have my hair and makeup done on the day, which is the same people who are doing my wedding ones, so be nice to see what they like xx

cheers hun, our wedding photographer is also doing the photos for the party so cant wait to get them up either, plus we have asked our guest to give us money if anything as have a house full of crap as it is, so the money is going towards the wedding, plus our mate is bringing his bar in for free and has said that we can have a % of the takings as well so even more towards the wedding.

my exactly what i was thinking, have order my table swags today and also ordered 10x 18inch silver foil heart balloons which will be going out side the front door only got a couple of things left to get one of which is my outfit lol xx
