    Hello

Ive been wearing my 18ct white gold engagemnet ring since Sept 11th 2011. I take it off when ever i wash,do any housework ect

Ive never had a problem with it until last Friday, i just looked down and it had bent in half, its now oval shapped!!!

I took it back into Ernist Jones as its insured until Aug this year and they have sent it away to be repaired.

Has anyone else ever had their ring bend?

Im now worried that my 18ct wedding ring might also bend! :-/

Mine hasn't bent but i don't wear it all the time. It can always be re rounded don't worry, it could have been a mix of things that caused it to bend

Mine got bent, but it was because I went to close a door quickly to stop the dogs running out, and caught my ring on the handle. Maybe you've done something without noticing.

I've been wearing mine since 2012, its from a jewellers most of my jewellery has come from, looked down the other day to find the pins holding the diamond in are bending around it (so it will fall out) and one of the tiny diamonds from around the design has fallen out, took it to the store and they said it was my fault as I've probably been doing too much so its not covered, I'm a beauty therapist, i wear gloves for housework/gardening, i take it off when i walk my dog incase the lead catches it, and if I'm touching products while at work my ring comes off, and if not I'm always wearing disposable gloves, safe to say my H2B is fuming so has said he will buy me a new one, thing is, i LOVE this ring, i may take it elsewhere and have them make a new ring out of the gold/diamonds, we have even cancelled this specific store ordering our weddings bands in incase they snap or something - i hope they sort your ring out for you! xx

My ring hardly ever comes off. I sleep in it, shower in it, do housework, even the gardening (although i do have my gloves on). My ring still looks brand new after a wee clean. I also wear my nana's e-ring. That was oval shaped however the ring is approx 70 years old. I got it rezized when i got engaged so i could wear it on the other hand and they reshaped it for free xx

touch wood I havent had any issues with bending. I have been wearing mine nearly 2 years though and the white gold under neath is scratched and starting to yellow. A bit disappointing really because I keep it in its box at night, it has never been under/ in any water it always sits on the side whilst I wash up, taking washing out the machine etc. I never wear it to exercise etc usually the only time I am wearing it is when I am out and about because I am still nervous one of the tiny diamonds at the sides of the big diamond will fall out :)

Loads of my gold rings are bent over time! -still beautiful and fit though! You can get them reshaped. Gold is notoriously soften the higher the carat, the softer!
