H2b got my engagement ring in a size N 4 yrs ago it should of been an M so no big deal but slack ,not too much plus i hardly wore it as its got 9 diamonds in (its shoulder set with solitaire nothing huge ( think photo in my album) anyway since having my 2 kids back to back lol (2012 and 2013) everything has shrunk.. im no longer a 32 bra im a 30 im no longer 5 shoe (i wasn't dead on anyway was more 4.5) im now a 4 or less.
    My hips grew though ha
My fingers shrank and now need an L ring which my wedding ring in. So my engagement ring is pretty slack now n im starting to wear it daily!

I'm gutted. The jewelers we bought it from no longer sell it but on their system it says straight away DO NOT re-size, apparently the shoulder diamonds would pop out etc :-/

H2b is saying he will get me a new 1 but i dont want a new one plus i did look and saw nothing i liked better than mine! My ring was £80 my wedding ring £125 there's no way im spending more than my wedding ring on engagement ring when we r getting married in July.

Maybe a bigger jewelers or somewhere can successfully downsize it? I was told a few weeks ago it be fine but when checking system to make sure it turns out they were wrong

    Gutted absolutely gutted :-(

I have no idea what that wud cost :-/ im goung to get details from different jewlers in a few weeks
Ive also heard they can eitger build ring up or put blobs of gold etc inside which isnt a bad idea as if it ever becomes tught they can be removed

Adding gold inside the band to make it smaller is a good idea, thicker band but at least it will fit.

    H2b got me a k, and I'm an H (stupid tiny hands)

I Wore a plastic ring clip until I managed to get it resized, they only cost a few pounds from accessory shops, might be worth a try until you find a solution?

I've got platinum blobs in my e-ring (my ring is platinum). I had to get a size bigger than I need due to my joints swelling frequently but I found the ring spun round too much.
Took a little while to get used to them, but now I don't even realise they are there. Would definitely recommend this method. It cost £50 to get this done through Tiff@ny (where we got the e-ring from), so I doubt any where else would be as costly!

I would suggest maybe getting an inner band done so you don't compromise the structure of the ring

This is my ring which has shoulder stones. We bought a size N as it was the only one they had in the shop and I was desperate to take it away that day and show it off to everyone. I had it re-sized a week later to a size l 1/2 and have been advised that i can still take it down a further 1/2 size if needed with no problem to the design of the ring. only after the 2 sizes can there start to be problems. Hope that helps a little xx

Take to jewellery maker and a decent one they will be able to do something, my ring is custom made as my bf had the stones fro his grandmas ring which he had set in a different way. There are a lot of great places in the jewellery quarter birmingham, pm me I can tell you a v v good one who made mine for not an extortionate amount and I couldn't recommend enough!

My engagement ring was too big, so he took it back to the shop and they sent it back to the maker to resize it. I worn it for more than one month, and he took it back and the insurance will probably cover the costs. The bad thing is that, since I'm in Brazil, I won't get it back until I go back to England :(
