I chose my engagement ring. When received, it was beautiful sparkly and bright. These days it is dull and not as sparkly as when I first received it.

Has anyone got any advice on best way to keep it clean and bright?

I do the typical things of taking it off at night, whenever I was my hands or have a shower etc.

    Thanks in advance x

    Hi Colette,
You can take it back to the shop you brought it from and they can normally clean it up in store to make it nice and bright again.

One trick I use is to put it in a small tub with a tiny bit of washing up liquid and hot water and then rinse it after, that shines it up a bit but you will need it professionally cleaned every once in a while.

Old tooth brush and warm water- I was advised never to use washing up liquid on my ring- I can take mine back to shop and they clean and polish it for free :-)

pop it in a small pot of gin, then give it a scrub with a toothbrush - comes up brand new! Our jeweler told us that trick :)

Im taking mine back to the jewlers for them to make it like it was when i first got it so that its super shiny for the wedding x

I'm allowed to take mine in whenever I want and they clean it at EJ. Its actually in right now for a week getting re-rhodium plated something or other and I miss it like mad! But that is free as well! Otherwise I got a cleaning machine from GS which works great too, I just pop it in there x
