I am gutted. Some of you may remember a while ago i posted about my engagement ring losing a stone.Well this has happened again!
I am so disappointed as well as it is a reputable high street store.
Taking it back this afternoon to see what they will do about it.

By law, if a retail item is under three years old (this is the amount of time ur item is guaranteed for) ... (Tho they don't tell u this!) u can have a replacement/exchange,this I know from being a retail manager a couple of yrs ago! Go give them a piece of ur mind, and ask to speak to the manager not a salesperson!x

I will be - although last time when they replaced the stone they replaced it with a less quality one - when i pointed this out the manager tried to fob me off, even though his staff had admitted it was lower quality!!

hope you get your ring sorted out Coconut you should not have stones falling out of your engagement ring which means it was not esembled properly as the stones should fit perfectly and sit on your finger for years to come do not take NO for an answer make them give you a replacement ring Tell us how it goes =D ♥ X

Thanks guys. They have taken it back, and they are sending it back to head office. They said that as the previous repair had been done foc it only had a 6 month guarantee and therefore this repair will fall under that. This means that if this one has a problem they will charge to replace it. (The first repair was was done outside of warrantee and they did it for free, although they had to replace the first stone they put in as it was really dull!) The manager was good about it but there was a woman in there who was really bitchy and kept making comments about how they wouldn't replace it as the first one had been done foc. When I mentioned that it hadn't even been 6 months she didn't even acknowledge me and walked off.
But looking at the good side, they are sending it back to head office to fix. :)

I had this problem with a diamond and sapphire ring from Fraser hart, I had it replaced 3 times, after the third, I changed the ring to a different sapphire one, and never had an issue with it. Might be worth looking at something else?

I know it's your engagement ring and really to be honest it should not be happening at all, let alone the amount of times it has for you, however do you really want to carry on having this happen?? I'd cut my losses on the sentimentality of it and ask for a full refund on their cr@p merchandise and go elsewhere and find one that is as similar as possible to your current one. It's not on.

Update: I have spoken to Head office and there was a lovely women who works in Customer Service (very small HO i think she is the only one!). She listened to what I had to say and then spoke to the store and rung me back. They are going through a refit so are not having a collection until the end of next week, however she has told them they have to pay to get it on her desk tomorrow morning. She is then back in on Monday so she will look at it - if she has one the same size she will do a straight swap, if not she will get it repaired and check it before it gets send back to me. The new stone may only have a very small warranty. However, I also spoke to the consumer advice people today who informed me that if I don't get any luck I can still go through the Sale of Goods Act as it is not fit for purpose and hasn't lasted a reasonable amount of time so if I have to I will go down this route.

the lady in the shop sounds like a right witch.
I'd of told them just to refund it as its clearly faulty. I do tend to cut off my nose to spite my face when i lose my rag though haha!

Velcro - I'm reluctant to do that - due to the price in gold rising its now worth double what h2b paid and they would only have to refund what was paid for it :(

Hi all, just realised i haven't updated you all. basically, i got a phone call two weeks ago t say it was back in teh shop, which confused me as it was two weeks early. However when i got there they handed me a brand new one (still had the price tag on it) as they decided it would be a better option.
