I've just read a post about the scrimpersavers and reminded me of the elderflower champagne and that I really want to try and make it. Anyone know how and where I can find elder flowers? X

my mum used to collect them off trees/bushes in the hedgerows they are in season may to july I think I've never seen them sold anywhere, just googled it and you can get the dried flowers on amazon

Guna sound silly but don't actually know what they look like lol so would be worried about getting them from hedgerows x

Yea that could be a slight problem lol, go for the dried version then will be allot safer

I would imagine some one on the internet will sell them some where. I think you have to be careful about picking them in the wild -aren't there laws against randomly picking flowers from ground that belongs to someone else? I may be making that up - but i'm sure there is some issue with it. x
