    I could either....
1, buy an ivory skirt.....no work involved and probably cheaper than buying the fabric
2, buy the fabric and make it, plus another shorter skirt.
3, and more like is, buy a long skirt, make a short skirt.

I will utilise the skirt off the dress, as its ivory satin and didnt budge with the dye. (dont i know it) and I wanted a lilac tulle underskirt too so i will use that.......and just add a layer of dark ivory or pale gold taffeta over the top of the skirt part of my dress. done with box pleats......(they pull in your tummy BRILLIANTLY) this wont take long at all, maybe an afternoon....I just need possible 2-3 metres of taffeta....(£5 per metre) so for £35 (which includes the bodice i just bought, i will have a new dress......
    (fingers crossed) ......

well ebay was sh1t. BUT the seller sent me an email apologizing and asking me to upload a picture of a dress i like and they will make it for me.......for a VERY low price.....(i dont know how low) if its something like £50 i will but they are not getting me to re-order a whole new dress for top price.
I am wondering if i should get them to just make me a taffeta skirt to go with my new bodice? or ask them to make a whole new different dress and pay for it if the price is right?

this is the email they sent today

    Hi dear,
We're really very sorry our dress don't make you satisfied,we are very willing to solve the problem for you, please don't give us case again, because of your last case, our shop is damaged deeply. Please send the picture that you want to us,we can give you a very low price, and we can make the dress well for you.If you want to get a full refund, you need to return the dress back, when we receive the dress,we will give you a full refund, but we don't suggest you choose the way, because when you return the dress back, you need to pay for the freight,it is also expensive,we hope we can solve the problem in your favor. Please tell us your decision.Any question, please contact us.We're glad to serve you.
    Have a good time
    Sincerely yours

I have gone off the idea of having the same dress, I loved it but now its tainted.

I am still thinking I might ask them to make me a skirt to go with the bodice i bought. I am going to wait until my top arrives and if I love it then I will ask them to make me a skirt in ivory....but trying to work out which style i will ask for.

either A line which pulls in your stomach and hides big bums, made with box pleats that wil match my bridesmaids dresses....or a slim fitting one which will be quite Audrey Hepburn style....in-keeping with my Vintage theme.

or ask them if they can replicate my dream dress.......Claire pettibone 'orange blossom' i would LOVE this dress but I am wondering if a chinese dressmaker is up to the job, and if they use cheap fabric its just going to look crap.

A line with box pleats and dropped waist.

I also think what I might do is remove the outer layer of tulle....(the lilac) and what I am left with is a chiffon dress, it will be fine becuase its fully lined with a double layer of ivory satin......and I could try and sell it on the bay. it IS a nice dress but not my colour and too big for me too.

I have emailed them, but really , its a beautiful dress, cut on the bias......and you really have to be a slim person to pull this dress off. I mean look at her figure...I do NOT look this good!

Well they said that they do not HAVE to re-imburse me, so they cannot make the dress as they dont have the right fabric, and the skirt would be as much as a dress would be.....so where is the LOW price?
they did however offer to give me a naff cheap and nasty necklace and ear ring set!

I emealied back and told them i am taking it further, under the conditions of distance buying/selling, and my credit card company will be fighting for my money back. (i lied cos I dont have a credit card, and debit card payments are not protected. )

I asked them to send me the fabric for a new dress....OR a petticoat .....I am trying to get at least something. There listing states I can return for full refund, but its so heavy its liable to cost around £50 to send it......(not to mention its purple now)

Well they offered to make me a satin skirt, for £37, and I am thinking about it. It would cost me that to buy the fabric and make it myself.
And although they didnt have to, because Ebay found in their favour, they are going to send me an A-line petticoat I asked for.
I figured that if I end up making my own, then I will need maybe one of these petticoats and although they cost pennies to make, they take time.

And depending on the type of skirt I get, I dont even know if I will need a petticoat like that, but if I don't I will be offering it up here in the swapshop. Someone might as well get the use out of it huh?

this is what they said they would make for me, I have already bought a bodice and its very similar to this one.

its just a skirt but I asked them to make it with no train,

But I have asked them to make the skirt with box pleats like this......so its like my bridesmaids dresses (ignore the blingy belt)

    yeah I spose so......

here is a picture of my bodice and the fabric I have chosen...Pale cream taffeta to match the pale cream lace on the bodice..they are sending me a swatch of it before i order it but i am pretty certain this is the colour i want..on this picture is also my inspiration for different styles of skirts and dresses....

I am ordering 5 metres because......
If i love the bodice I will make a skirt and that needs 3 metres for a long box pleated skirt, then the other 2 metres I will make a shorter version for the evening..........OR....
If i dont like the bodice, I will make a complete dress and I need 5 metres for that, and after making a dress i WONT bother with making a short skirt...

I like the idea of my skirt being similar to my bridesmaids dresses......looks like it'll all tie in nicely and 'meant to be'. especially as its the same fabric aswell.
