Ok I am wanting to get my hir into reasonable condition for the wedding.
However, years of bleaching, getting it cut like once every two years and general neglect have taken its toll. I have recently had it lopped into a shaggy bob which I love, but want to keep it in condition. I am useless with this sort of thing, so was wandering what products you ladies use? Xx

hey hun, i have wild crazy hair (boardering on afro lol) and mine looks dry and damaged quite alot! I use V 05 hotoil every now and again and that makes it look fab, but doesnt last long. Also quite a few name brands do a conditioning hair mask that you leave on your hair for up to 5 mins after shampooing and conditioning and it makes it look and feel great :-) just dont use it too much as it can make it look a bit greasy...twice a week is enough! AND my secret ingredient....baby shampoo lol! I put a bit on and give it a rub around, rinse it off and then shampoo and condition as normal...it works great! Good luck xxxx

My hair is dry and damaged too due to using too many heat products, my haird is long but dosnt grow any more and always breaks. I use a hair conditioning mask every week and wrap it in a towel for ten minutes as heat really helps the conditioner give out nutrients in your hair. Aussie from boots is AMAZING!
I also use shampoo by lush its soo good but it is expensives so i don't use it every day. I use a heat protecting spray by trevor sorbie in a pink botttle before using heat prooducts, even the hair dry it. x

I have had this problem for years! My hair is really thick and coarse, I dye it once every 8 weeks and it is so so dry! I was talking to my hairdresser about it as she was concerned about its condition and she has saved my hair with the shampoo and conditioner she recommended (she is an independent hair dresser so doesnt sell it herself, so I knew she wasnt out for a profit!). It is called bed head urban antidotes! You cant buy it in shops, you can get it online or from a professional hair salon. It has 3 different ranges. I use number 2 shampoo called recovery and number 3 conditioner called ressurection, and it really does what the name says! I've used it for 2 months and my hair is now soft, shiny, and best of all.... it doesn't break off at the ends anymore! I was amazed how well it works and couldn't recommend it enough! xxxx

I would recommend using Moroccan Oil treatment, it smells amazing and leaves hair shiny. I only use it twice a week and you only need a small amount. xx
This is really handy for me, my hair is currently like straw. I'm going to test these products over the next 10 months and hopefully by the wedding day I'll have hair like one of those chicks in the adverts.

Yes, that's my plan too! I am so hopeless with things like this...I have not really bothered with my hair for yours but I have recently lost weight and am starting to feel more self confident and pretty and I've actually started to care a bit more about my appearance! Xx

I'm another fan of the VO5 hotoils. It something like £3.16 for 4 little tubes.
Aussie Miracle products are fab too as are Lush products both of which other ladies have already mentioned.
If you go into Lush and explain what you're looking for they can recommend their best products for the job x

Like others the conditioning mask are GREAT i swear by them once a week, i always keep them on longer than it says and like Princess2b always wrap in towel.
The other thing start having the ends trimmed as often as you can, having ur hair cut is ment to help it grow so hopefully u can grow out the damgaed stuff before the wedding (or the magority of it) and using products u going to buy and try will help new stuff be LOVELY xx

Unfortunately one of the best methods is to cut the worst off. Then use some serious masks. Leave them on for as long as you possibly can and wrap it in a towel or cling film. Try using a shampoo aimed at afro hair as they often use a lot of products so their hair is usually in really bad condition.
Lush will probably be your best bet they really know their products and will reccomend the best for you even if it sounds a bit wierd to start with.

i use a good shampoo and conditioner and a deep conditioner once every two weeks with Hot Oil inbetween it really helps. Also if you use heat products use a heat protection spray even if your using a hair dryer it really does benefit your hair

If you can get to a local hairdresser or maybe mobile one, they sometimes do a special treatment for dry and damaged hair. Not done it myself but have been told its really good after first treatment.
