We had planned to put money behind the bar so that all of our guests got a drink on us each & we have also stocked up on prosecco for the toast, however due to our gearbox deciding to break last week we no longer have enough to cover the drinks behind the bar. Do you think we should now use the prosecco as a welcome drink or just keep it for the toast as originally planned?

i think you should just keep it for the toast. surely they will expect to pay for drinks anyway and think it would be nice having it for that instead xx

I would keep it for the toast. I think it's more important than having it as a welcome drink.

Keep it for toast as more important :) most people expect to buy own drinks now a days x

Keep it for a toast instead. I never done welcome drinks, they got their own.
Keep it for the toast. Guests expect to buy their own drinks (well they should anyway), then it's only a bonus if drinks are supplied for the reception.
