    Today I saw my best friend find 'the one'

    I cried lol. I was so happy to see her standing there all happy and beautiful.
    Shes got a beautiful a line dress with crystals on.
    We tried on some hideous dresses before also!

    The woman got out a victorian style MASSIVE dress, (baring in mind shes a size 4!) And a dress that Id imagine a 70 year old in! As I helped her put her dresses on we were in stitches laughing!
    Then I thought about the 1st dress I ever tried on. My big fat gypsy wedding would have been but to shame! lol I looked like I was going just fall over at any given second! haha
    So I was wondering ladies whats the worse dress youve tried on? Or the worse dress you can think of in your head? lol x

    i cant get to try any of, have to order mine online and hope for the best. no shops stock plus sizes, so all i can do is hold them up to me, which is rubbish. so I kinda feel i am missing out on trying on dresses, but thats what i get for being so fat i guess

    janie the bride shop named at the top of the forum had plus sizes in hun when i went, they got me to try a flat dress on i hated it but the woman was all ohhhh it fits like a glove on you while i mouthed at my cousin yeah but i dont like it lol x

    I tried everything from lace fishtail to HUGE gypsy dressed and the worst for me was an all lace fog tail number but it wasn't stitched right so I had a j lo in monster in law moment where it got stuck round my hips haha thought I was gunna have to be cut out of it

    My worst experience was in a shop where the lady ignored everything I said I was looking for. I said no lace or too much going so the first dress she brings out to try looked like some 70's net curtains with sleeves...
    Sorry but it was the fuglyist dress I had ever seen and I had my moh daring me totry it lol ofc i did and it was not a good look x

    First bridal shop I went into, the sales woman decided that because I have an hour glass figure, I had to try on every skin tight, fish tail dress they had. It was an awful look on me but she refused to listen so we left. I think fish tail dresses look stunning on the right people but definately not me.

    I haven't tried on a horrible dress, i think they were all lovely dresses just not for me. Mind you, every shop i went to let me choose which dresses i wanted to try on and weren't pushy

    I tried on so many dresses but nothing awful. I am very slim (size 6) so I always needed a dress that gave me something. My dress maker was lovely, she got me trying on every type of dress just in case there was a style I didn't like but actually suited me. I semi had my heart into a mermaid dress but when I tried it on I looked awful! Anything clingy like a Monsoon wedding dress made me look like a child (their dresses are lovely, but I am very small with no boobs so they just don't flatter me), I remember sulking as I looked at myself in the mirror lol! I found 'the dress' in the end :)

    im a size 16-18 with a big belly my nanna made me try on a tight fitted fishtail dress n lots of lace ,dont get me wrong it wa a nice dress just not me n showed every lump n bump i laughed n my nanna stood back n just said ow x

    I haven't found "the one" dress yet but I know I want lace and as I'm 14-16 size I asked for nothing fitted or showing too much boob however a dress selected was a double corset which was comfy but my goodness I felt like Katie price ! She suggested a jacket to help with the boob issue lol
