Like many b2bs, I want a lower pair of shoes for the night do - my wedding shoes have four inch stiletto heels and I don't know if I could do a full day and night (we are getting married at 11am)
However I've just had a thought...if my wedding dress has been measured to fit lenghwise wearing the 4 inch heels, will it look really odd if I'm wearing flatter shoes on the evening?
My dress is la Sposa Mariposa so is a long one anyway, what do you all think? Xx

I think it depends on the dress style hun.
In Fact - i just looked up your dress and I really dont think it would matter too much with that style!
I don't think it would look strange - may just be a tiny bit more difficult to walk in?

It depends on the dress. My dress was measured for my heels and then in the evening I wore a pair of converse's. The train was put up at the back for the evening so seemed to take some of it away but other than that I just hooked the front up a bit.

i had my dress measured for 3 inch heels and put a pair of flat pumps on in the evening it looked fine was just harder to walk in as it was longer but as long as you pick the front up you'll be fine

I had 5 inch heels for the day and flats for the evening ... I went the other way and had my dress fitted for the flats so my purple heels could be seen peeking out at the bottom of my dress xx

We're planning WELL in advance!!
I'm doing things a bit backwards lol, and having 2.5 inch high peep-toes for the ceremony and photos, then 3.5inch strappy sandals for the dancing in the evening. Reason being I dance better in higher heels, and was worried about tripping up the aisle in high heels in my dress, because it's quite heavy. I was also concerned about having the dress made for the higher heels, and then having fabric dragging on the floor in the evening; I didn't want to be tripping on my dress or having to hold it constantly.
Have you considered going from 4 inch heels to a lower heel? I find that something around 2.5 inches doesn't even feel like I'm wearing heels, and that way, the difference in height would be much less, so you won't get as much dress dragging on the floor.
