    Hiya girlies :)

Our wedding venue includes white linin for dressing the room for the morning breakfast, my dress is ivory. Is this a major clash and no no or is it better this way or unimportant?

Thank you for your opinions :)

    Luce x

I am having an Ivory dress too. To be honest we have the choice of either white or Ivory and I havent decided which to definitely have yet. I did at first think white though, which I might still stick to! From what I can remember my ivory dress isnt too far from white anyway. Think it just depends on how Ivory your dress is???

Would love to hear what everyone else thinks though too x x

this is my personal thought, if you have white tableclothes and a ivory dress then your gonna stand out. if you match then surely your gonna blend in.... i maybe just out of it though (blame the tablets iif this makes no sense please)

Y would it do that? Can't see how it would make ur dress look dirty 2bh I think having white table cloths will be fine I don't really know any weddings that have had any other coloured table coths, you can always put sashes and table runners down them to break up the whiteness of it all but like sissies says it will make u stand out instead if blending in good luck hun xx

My venue has white table cloths, it doesn't worry me or cause me any kind of stress at all. I would rather have white table cloths than pay to have a coloured or ivory. Also they haven't said the chairs are or are not covered, and this isnt a worry either. The chairs at my venue are an easy going gold with fabric seats and backs. I don't want the added expense of covering a chair that all you do is sit on. :)

    I'm now a married woman
    I have a gorgeous husband
    Whats to do now
Theres no more wedding planning to do

I have the same situation, my wedding planner told me it would be fine and not to worry. I have just got everything in white or ivory to compensate as you will never get one shade of white or ivory so I just decided to keep everything one of the two. Made sure the groom matches me, stationary is ivory, flowers a combination etc.

@ Rags, totally agree re chair covers - am hoping when we pick our venue they have nice chairs that don't need to be covered!!

@ Lucy, I don't think it'll be a problem if the linens are white, and as a lot of the other ladies are saying, you can break it up with some colour, and it definitely isn't worth paying extra to get ivory linens in my opinion...!!

i have been told the guests wont even notice and weddings cost enough, might aswell save the pennies or spend it elsewhere

I think it'll be fine, if anything the ivory/white combination should complement one-another :)

Rags - we're doing the same, the venue I'm hoping for has lovely chairs that adding a cover to would be a waste!

We had white and blue linen - and I had an ivory dress. Tbh it won't make a difference, make your dress look dirty or make you look like you've clashed in any way. People aren't going to compare your dress colour to table linen (and if they do then they need to get a life lol). As for chair covers - we didn't bother with them. The hotel had gorgeous furnishings anyway so we thought 'why cover them up with what was, tbh, just another added expense'.

most dresses in bridal shops are diamond white which basically is ivory i was told this by the bridal shop. she said u will only find a selected amount of pure wedding dresses but people prefer ivory as they have been with there partner before marriage. table clothes.never look pure white in any venue really as they are always over bright aand with everything on the tables there is must cloth left. after u have center pieces, knifes n folks, glasses, table numbers or names, place cards, favours, napkins then ladies handbags lol so alot of one table. xx
