Hi ladies, I've uploaded a ton of pictures of almost everything and would love your honest feedback on my ideas. My wedding is a registry office wedding on a Saturday but I've decided I'm still going all out on the dress etc. my colours are cadbury purple, silver and ivory. We are having a large buffet that will cater for my ceremony guests and those invited from 3pm. I'm having cadburys retro miniatures and chocolate love hearts in silver boxes tied with purple ribbon as favours.
Is it ok that I'm only handing these out to ceremony guests?
I've just over 3 weeks left, hen do is Saturday,H2B just had his stag do (he was absolutely hilarious when he got in, but that's another story ), anyway the point is my stomach is now constantly churning, I'm really worried my small budget will show and my wedding will look cheap. I've even managed to buy enough sparkling wine for everyone to have a glass or two on us but I'm really worried by the fact there is no sit down meal and just the one buffet all day but we can't stretch to anything else.
Do you think the guests will be disappointed ?
Any input on anything or any ideas ate welcomed.
Eek!!

It all looks stunning. Having a buffet only is fine; people will be glad to be included. As for favours people often don't expect them anyway; as long as you give them out early enough that the other guests don't know it won't matter. The day is about you, forget everyone else.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

With regards to the favours, make sure you give them out during the ceremony; it wouldn't be appropriate to give them out in the presence of the other guests who won't be receiving them.
As far as food goes, I see no issue with only having a buffet; but one thing you may want to consider (if it's possible) is having it brought out in two stages (eg half the food at say 4pm, then the other half at 8pm) if it's going to be a late-ish evening (11pm or later). That way it won't have been sitting out all day, and people will probably be more likely to fill up again later in the evening as it will be fresher :-)

I would have some one on favor duty handing them out as your guests leave the ceremony room x
PS. Just took a look through your albums and it all looks stunning! :-D

Thank you ladies, I actually think the separate food times idea may be the way to go so thanks for that idea xxxx

Just had a peek through your albums and everything looks lovely :-)
Your guests are your friends and family and they love you and want to be part of your day, they won't be judging you on your budget or thinking things look cheap so don't worry about that.
I'm only doing favours for day guests too - costs too much otherwise!! You could have a bridesmaid pop the favours onto the chairs at the registry office before the guests arrive if you're worrying about handing them out.

Yeah, I think I'm definitely going to hand favours out at the registry office, I think it saves any awkwardness. :)

It is a lovely veil. I agree about handing out favours as guests leave the ceremony room.
As long as it's the day you want and you're married that's what matters xx
