I have found a wedding dress i like but dont like 1 bit on there. If i took the picture to a dress maker and asked them to make it to how i want it, will i pay a lot more then if i just bought the dress how it is?

More than likely yes, can you not have the one thing altered or taken off the dress?

i was thinking that but its at the back on the train ( not sure how its spelt ) and the pattern is all around as well. SO it would be the hole back that would need to be re done. Thats why im thinking it might be cheaper to just get the whole dress made to how i want it. I know of a dress maker here but she only makes dresses she wont alter any one elses dresses. xx

how long till you get married? I was all for having a dress made for me, days after I made the decision I found one online that was almost exactly the same.

It depends on who makes it and what fabrics they use. I found a shop near me and he was just about the same price as what it would cost to buy off the peg. It all depends on what fabrics you use, what style the dress is and what kind of detail you are looking for. If you are on a tight budget you could always get one made in china..... Some of the girls have really rated their dresses. Its just you do risk it as you don't see the dress or the material before it arrives.

It was next year but due to family problems we had to back it back to 2013. I know i have a while yet but seen as its in this years collection i'm not sure if im not going to able to get it next year. So might have to get it this year ( if the route i go down is to have it altered ).

I did think about china jo. My freind had her dress made in the states but it never turned up until 3 days before she was getting married as they couldnt get it through customs. x
