Hi Ladies, I bought all my Bridesmaid dresses over a year ago, knowing all their sizes at the time and managed to get 2 from The Bay for £15 and the other one from Charity shop for £5. What a bargain!! Well soon was i to find out that my best friend and sister are both due to have babies this year. Best friend in April and Sister in July. I know these are both before my wedding but i also know being a Mum myself how hard it is for some to lose the baby fat. Im now starting to worry that the dresses i have for them wont fit. My other dilemma is the 2 dresses i got from The bay were knee length dresses and the one from the charity shop is floor length, (this dress being for my sister who was giving me away, but now is my MOH) So i thought the difference in dress lengths were quite nice. But now im thinking it will look quite odd. What do you guys think...? Also, my flowergirls will be in white and baby blue to break up the Royal Blue colour, if i do decide to change the BM dresses should i stick to royal blue or coordinate them with the FG's and have them wear baby blue also. HELP!!!! PLEASE

I was liking this, As i know my BMs have there own style and own shape. My best fried is a GG bra size, my sister had a big bum and my little sister is straight up and down. The 2 dresses i have from The bay are v neck front and back, so would suit moderately ig boobs. But im scared my best friends GG boobs will be over powering and too in your face. My MOH wants to keep her dress long as shes blinging it up like a Gacia dress (sorry for spelling)

I think it would work to have your moh in the long dress as it'll make her stand out a bit more :) and I think the royal blue will look lovely xx

I would keep the colour the same anyway. As for the dresses not fitting - how much leeway is there with them? Can they be let out a full size for example? Realistically, although I can completely understand why you want to get this sorted sooner rather than later, you are probably going to have to wait until nearer the wedding, purely because it's probably pretty hard to judge now what size your friends will be when it comes to your big day. You seem to have the choice between keeping the dresses you have and taking the risk that you will be able to adjust them enough nearer the time, or, giving up on the dresses you have and not buying any new ones until closer to the wedding. Obviously either way this puts a bit of pressure on you at that point and that's bound to bug you when you went to the bother of getting them sorted early, but I can't really see any other way round it. :(

I think as long as the dress straps are wide enough for her to wear a good supportive bra with it you'll be OK. You could also consider a little lace insert in her dress at the very bottom of the 'V' if it looks a bit booby! Chiffon usually seems to drape quite well so it could be a good material in this situation, any extra weight might not be noticed! If you're concerned both about the dress sizes and the low neck, then maybe you could just go for something completely different, but then you'll be leaving it until much closer to the big day and you might have to be prepared to accept dresses that aren't ideal, or you might not get the colour you want :( Unless you could find a wrap-style dress that you like? Wrap dresses are maybe more adjustable than others?

I think you'd have to ask your bridesmaids what they think. They'll know what dress sizes they plan on being by your wedding xx

Dont worry about the dresses being different styles, I was MOH for my little sister a few years ago, I had a white dress with gold sash, my other sister had a gold dress and her friend had a gold two piece, it looked really really good. We all had styles that suited us with the same colour gold so that we mixed and matched well. My bridesmades range from a tall size 8-10 to a very short size 22 (and everything in between) and so I have decided that can have different style dresses but all the same colour ... I want them to be comfortable on the day 2.
Regarding colour I think that the mix in the picture you put on looks nice. Kat x
