After some hard thinking I have decided not to ask my friend Helen to be my bridesmaid. We use to be so close when we were in college but when we started uni we hardly talk or see each other. Evey time I ask to meet up she is busy and it has been 8months since I saw her last. I think she could be un reliable so I have chosen not to ask her.
I really do want an other maid but I don have anyone I am close with... I have a friend who I have known since school but again I havn't seen her properly for 18months. We met briefly last month when she asked to borow some money but thats it. She is 8 months pregnant so work full time so we both dont have much ime to see each other. Since my best mate died I dont have anyother close friend or family that I want to ask...

It's still a long time until you get married though hun, you don't know who you're going to meet before then.... I wouldn't worry or get too upset about it, it's better to have a few people around you who really love you and care about you than loads who don't really know you anymore..

Rich's best mate is getting married in October ad she isnt having any bridesmaids at all not even a little one - she doesnt have a girlfriend she's that close to so she's letting Jon have as many grooms men as he wants lol

Yep, totally agree. I'm only having two bridesmaids. My cousin has recently made contact for the first time in years but I'm going to ask her to be involved as I hardly know her.
ive only got the one bm but i havent seen her since july when i asked her because shes from london and i live in liverpool. we email and text each other lots so its not 2 bad xxx

Thats pretty understandable sarah but my 2 friends live 20 mins down the motorway.
The girl I have known since school has started matenity leave so I will make the effort to see her and see how things go. I am not going to make any decisions. Like tweed said the wedding is a long time off, I have plenty of time to make up my mind.

i have my sister i law as my maid of honour and my little sister as my bridesmaid.. I have af ew friends that i used to be realy close to but now we are still friends but not as close as we were. I understand what u mean about being let down. We were supposed to meet a few times but they let me down and im the one with 2 kids.. lol... If you are happy with one who you know is reliable and will be there for you then i would just have her. Although I also agree with tweedwedding you never know who u mite meet before then, u cud have another best friend that wont leave ur side. U have plenty of time yet.. :)

i wouldnt worry bout it for now, i already have 6 bms and i really want to ask my other friend, her partner is bm. we spend alot of time together as live next door and kids are at school together but im worried in case we drift apart x
