Maybe having 1 glass at the toast but steering clear of alcohol after that. Im a lightweight when it comes to drink. Im p@@sed after 2 or 3. The wedding day will go quick enough without me being too sozzled to remember it. xxx

Hmmmm, See I do like wine. But my problem is I often have one glass to many. It's fine as all I get is a little chatty and stuff (im not an agressive or depressed drunk) but my H2B hates me getting drunk as he hardly drinks at all and just doesnt see the point! (kill joy!)

So I am a little worried about the big day - because there is no way that Im not drinking at all at my wedding - I just hope that my nerves dont get the better of me and i have one too many!!

If I stick to red wine or vodka im fine. White wine makes me loopy!! hehe!
I can only have one glass of bubbly though as that goes to my head straight away!!

I intend on drinking nothing but champagne all day!
we will be cracking a few bottles open in the morning whilst we get ready, then hopefully i can get my hands on a welcome drink one between photographs, then our parents are going to do the receiving line so we can get 20mins to ourselves in our bridal suite, where there is another bottle of champagne waiting for us, so will be having more then, and then more for the toasts!

I can handle my drink quite well though, just hope the nerves dont make it go to my head quicker and i end up staggering up the aisle

I think we're going to have wine with the meal - but my drink is cider. Don't want to get too drunk either though - so can see it only been a couple of drinks and the rest soft drinks lol. I want to be able to remember the day without a hangover lol. The hotel check out the next morning is 10am as well - then I've got to drive back from Gretna so being drunk is out of the question.

I have to be careful about how much I drink with the tablets I'm on and my guests know this so won't have a problem buying me a soft drink. I hate it when people insist that they have to buy you alcohol. Kev doesn't like to drink too much either but he has no problems in saying he just wants a soft drink as we want to remember our night and enjoy it as well as not wake up the first morning as Mr and Mrs feeling like a bag of cr4p.

Oh god! My reception is an evening affair and will basically just be a 'p*ss up' Lol! My nickname back in the day used to be 'Sponge' however since having the girls the few occasions I have had too many I have been ill! So don't really want to be ill down my dress! So hard tho to stay sober coz I loooooooove my wine! My other half will get hammered I just know it, he is basically never grown up since he was 18!! He is 28 this year! Haha! xxx

Well, with a champagne breakfast.... champagne in the wedding car en route to the reception, champagne welcoming drinks and wine with dinner....... and then champagne to toast... no guesses as to how my head will feel the next morning!

I was a bit.....*ahem*...... wobbly when we got back to the hotel room and in desperate need of a pee...

Now what you have to understand is....that i had seen the room ONCE, very briefly 2 weeks beforehand.

I do not recall everything being blerdy square at that time....square loo, square sink, square taps etc....nor do i recall seein a square bidet.....which i promptly took a pee in in......in my drunken haze i though it was the loo......

I wiped and i flushed and i went to bed.....

At 2.30am there was hammering ont he hotel door....MArk got up to be greeted by the porter who asked if we had left a tap running....Mark said he would check....and found the bathroom under about 2 inches of water.....yup....id blocked the b'day and left the bumwasher running.....mark denied all knowledge to aforementioned porter (after turning bidet off of course)

    Cue breakfast the following day......

All guests had to eat int he makeshift restaurant in the bar.....cos the dining room was flooded from a leak from somewhere but they did not know where..... *cough*

Followed by the fastest exit by a newly married couple this side of Belgium.....

haha to goff..brilliant. I dont drink but will probably have a bit of bubbly for the toast in the name of tradition. We are going to ask wen we go on sunday if they can do soft summery drinks like st clements anf fruit punch to go with the meal. If anyone wants alcohol they can buy it. But will have bubbly for toast for all.

    LMFAO Goff!!!
As for the drinking, I will be drinking but can stay sober no matter how much I drink if I need to (eg, when my kids are around) and I have been getting headaches recently when I drink so may need to alternate soft drinks with booze. As for being sick, as long as I stay off the vodka, I will be fine.
H2B is a recovering alcoholic, I told him he can have a few drinks and a good time at our wedding but needs to take it easy as he is the one who has to help get me out of my dress which will be a S.H.I.T - zip AND lace-up!!!! :-s xxx
