My h2b today has informed me that his applied for don't tell the bride I am going mental tho not sure if I believe him or not he said it like he was serious I'm not happy about this at all I luv the show but I don't want him to plan the whole wedding the planning part is what the bride is supposed to do!!! He gas no idea about planning a wedding just thinks it's a quick fix to our money problems he doesn't realise how angry it makes me hope he hasn't applied and if he has I really pray we don't get accepted!! Sorry had to get it off my chest cos it's playing on my mind x
If you get accepted,refuse to marry him unless he does exactly as you tell him beforehand.

Make sure you talk to him about everything beforehand! This is what I dont get about the programme sometimes, I'm positive if my H2B had to plan the wedding he'd do really well, and I'd like it because we always talk about what we like, and he knows everything I like. DOn't worry hun, just make sure he knows what you do and don't like, and think about the money you'll save!!! xxx

i love that show but dont think i could let my h2b and his idiot mate of a best man organise my wedding, i think the biggest problem would be my dress if i could still have my church and my dress i maybe would let him organise the rest though as they are are not so important xx

If you don't wanna take part just say no, My friend nominated us because she saw advertised that they wanted a military couple for a charity version (For Wounded soilders) and as h2b had been injured twice in afghanistan she thought we would be a good couple for the show and charity. We have had lots of telephone calls and now they are passing us through to see if we get to the next stage for face to face interviews but they said this won't be until a month before the wedding! anyway i am carrying on planning as normal as i can't be bothered waiting for us to let us know only a month before the wedding!! got so much to do as it is never mind leaving it that late!! I wouldnt worry about it at the end of the day what will be will be and if you really don't wanna do it just say no! it's your wedding at the end of the day and so your choice :-)

Im just echoing what the others have said in respects to making sure he has every single detail of what you would like. I have no idea what I would end up with if my H2b was planning ours, Im not saying he isnt any good, just feel its a bride thing even though he is good with colours I dont think anything would be matching not only that, he would forget all the little details. Ive already mentioned some things I have and he didnt know you did that. Not blaming him its just a girlie thing. Good luck hun I hope he hasnt applied and if he does, just do what has already been previously said. : ) xx

I'd send photographs of everything to his phone, then he won't lose them and has them with him (if you do get picked) in order to compare at the shops! I knew someone who did this and they got everything done really quickly as the groom knew what the bride wanted, so they made him wander round charity shops to try and get some footage. So if he does as he's told it will be him having to trawl shops pointlessly! good luck in not getting picked though hun xx

D'ya know what......
I quite think my H2B would be ok....he is quite sensible and listens to what I like. Although saying that, he was looking at wedding dresses the other day and said "dont you like that one" just because it was cheap....so I don't know actually thinking about it!
I wouldn't worry, as the others have said.....force him to read your planner/book....physically shove it down his throat if need be and make it clear to him what you do and dont want!
I think they will be filming the new series of that show end of July so I wouldn't worry surely somebody would have been in touch with you by now! Good look xx

You get 12,000 and if you do not like the way he plans you can always renew your vows at a later date. Plus the chance that you actually get picked are very slim - so dont think you need to worry xx

Sometimes our men can be pleasantly surprising. I think My H2B although he seems uninterested could probably do a better job than me of planning our wedding. He is an attention to detail person whereas things like that dont bother me. It was him that chose our wedding cake etc. I have threatened on numerous occasions to get him to do the wedding planning and in all fairness i think he would do an amazing job. I also think he would have picked me a dress alot easier than it was to choose myself. He knows me far too well he has yet to buy me anything that i dont like.

Intead of telling him everything you want, write it all down, he cant forget then lol and make sure he reads it and takes it with him or if you dont want to be on the show and cant trust your hsb with wedding planning then just say no and dont do it, you dont have too xx

i wouldnt worry too much hun iv applied quite a few times and havent heard anything at all so yeah but if you do tell him you want it exactly how YOU have planned it or you will not go through with it at all!!!
at first i was excited about it all cos ry said he would do what we were doing anyway but the more we get into it the more he says he would do it HIS way lol so im glad we not got through!!!
