bless ya, hope your ok, this time of night there arent many folk about so it can feel like ages before you get a response. Could you speak with the reception venue and maybe arrange a payment schedule, explain to them what happened. Other options include asking the bank/your mum for the money and paying them back when your dads assests are unfrozen. Or Option 3 if it is all family ask if they could donate £10 per head or something to cover the cost of the food that way??? Only options I hope things work out for you.x

    I'm now a married woman
    I have a gorgeous husband

poor poor you. i can only offer you sympathy and a great big virtual HUG!!!!
i agree with Rags; ask the venue about it, they might be understanding, or you could try a bank loan? there's no reason that your family wouldnt chip in; they'd spend alot more than that on drinks at the reception - tell them that if they pay for themselves now, you'll buy them a curry or somthing when the money's there, as a memorial of both him, and your big day.
i wish you so much luck!!

So very sorry to hear of you loss hun <hugs>.

On the meal front, I would also agree that you may be better off looking at a temporary loan until your dad's assets are unfrozen. If you also have a word (or get your mum to) with the solicitor who will be dealing with the will/probate, ask if they can try and get the funds released in advance. Unfortunately I know the bank is tied and can't do anything until probate is sorted. xx

firstly do you mean papa as in grandfather? maybe you could ask all the family if they could all chip in as much as they can, some maybe able to afford more than others and agree to pay them all back when the bank sort out the finances. im sure they will all understand. if not then i agree with the girls... speak to the venue and explain whats happened. im sure there is a solution.
sorry to hear about your loss xx

21st October 2011 will be the best day of my life!!!

oh huni i am so sorry for your loss xx i agree with the girls but didnt just want to read and run. dont worry these things have a way o working themselves out and you arent out of options xxx
i have to say that i am srprised that the bank are freezing his account for 6 months, these things usually get rosolved pretty quickly. maybe it is a standard thing they have to tell family incase there re any problems? see if your mum can get it resolved quickly witht he bank. this is the last thing you need to be worrying about at this time lots of love and cuddles xx
