Hey everyone, well after a appointment with the doctor my h2b has been told he needs to have an operation around april next year so will be off work for months meaning we wont be able to afford to pay for everything and he may still using crutches when its the wedding day :( so basically we have no option but cancel... i am rather upset about this but in a way it has taken alot of weight off me . i am devastated to have to wait to become Mrs Robertson :( we have no idea what date the wedding will be now.. x

Speak to your venue if you have already booked about postponing the wedding until the following year and they may not charge you any cancellation fees. means your venue is still secure and you dont lose deposit xx

i hate to mention this but there is no guarantee that his op will actually happen in April... the best thing is to get on to the consultants Secretary i have always found they are the ones who can work miracles with appointments etc... i had an op 8 weeks ago and it was her that made sure my op tied in with mr lala coming home, she got my pre op done before i went away for the summer as there wouldn't be time once i was back.
I'm sure your venue will understand and help out as much as they can but i rather like Lala's suggestion. Maybe you should try this? xx

yes as lala said i would definitely recommend speaking to the secretary. our best man (H2B's brother) has just had major heart surgery and has been on waiting list for nearly 2 years. but she kept us really well informed with estimates of when it would be. he had the op in november and is recovering really well. x

So sorry to hear this hun but like you have said you feel some of the weight has been lifted and ur h2bs health is the most important thing right now hopefully you can carry on planning once h2b is back on his feetbxx

Sorry to hear that Roxanne As Kel Bel Said Health comes first and since you already have things planned and wrote down you will be able to pick up where you left off and you will still be a Mrs but have to wait a bit longet you never kow you could even save uo more or come up with bigger ideas as you have time to save up more money =D <3 X

Thank you everyone for your kind words! me and my h2b have had a long talk and we are now think about having the wedding in 2015, but have it in disneyland florida or just go to a registry office then jet off somewhere sunny! because i realised what everyone is saying about being able to save more will actually be much better for us x

Hi everyone, i keep coming on this but as soon as i see everyone talking about their weddings i just log back out, finding this so hard not even having a date :( trying to talk about it to h2b but he doesnt even want to think about it until were actually going to start planning again :( venues been completely cancelled ect now x

Aw I feel for you hun its horrible when all your excitement is sort of ruined but as long as h2b is better first after his op 2015 isnt long away and atleast you have more options if you want to go abroad friends of ours went to florida in september to get married they had a great time plus a honeymoon. I wish we had gone for sn abroad wedding but left it too late everywhere was almost fully booked for the month we wanted we are looking at going on our honeymoon this may now as we had over spent x
