Hey ladies, hope you are all well. I need your help. When we booked our venue, the package we picked said we needed a minimum of 75 guests for the wedding breakfast and we were happy enough with this. We sent out invites recently to approx 100 people, and now there are several people now telling us they cant go. Im worried incase our numbers fall below the required 75. Should i contact our venue to let them know this, or say nothing!

Sometimes venues bend the rules one or two isnt bad - plus if you havent gone for the cheapest package and there's some leway with money there I wouldnt fret

If you do go below, ask if they will let you convert the extra 'seats' into extra wine or canapes or similar. So they get the same money, and you get your moneys worth.

our venue said its fine as long as we pay for no less than 10% lost i.e. out of 50 we are allowed to lose 5 guests. If we lose more, its tough we still have to pay for 45.

We're a minimum 90 during the day! She said 2 or 3 below isnt a big deal and is fine with them but I think Doves is a great idea! At least then they're not losing out x
