Such had an advert come up on my wall, about a company that supplies u with all the stuff to shoot your own wedding, it is at least half the price of a videographer, and i thought it sounded really fun and a way of getting the wedding party more involved, think it might be something i will look into closer to the time, would have to pick carefully who would do it though lol. what do u ladies think would that be something u would be interested in doing or would prefer to have a prof do it, do u think the saving and the personal touch that it would bring would be worth the risk of having a crap wedding video. the company edits it all for ya as well for ya, plus u can add extras like video diary, extra camera etc...

I'v voted yes, it is a really nice personal touch, and if the company edit and let you add extras then it should be really good. xx

My wedding is in 10 days time and we're doing this, I love the videos that I've watched on the website and I'm hoping, like you, that it will really give a personal touch. I'll let you know how it goes!
Very happy to say I'm now Mrs Keates and loving it!

I voted yes :) Although it does depend on the kind of memories you want. Whether you want it done profesionaly. Having a friend do it will probably end up looking like a home movie but can be more personal and fun that way :)

My H2B filmed his sisters wedding a few years ago and it was lovely. I'd give the camera to someone who's not quite as important as the bridal party/parents. Maybe a close friend who's just a guest would be better.
It's cool that they edit it all for you.

My sister is doing the photos for our wedding and we have brought my grandson whos nine a cini camera as his pageboy present so he is going to do some filming for us, god knows what we will end up with but hey its all part of the fun, we are also streaming the wedding via web cam to australia for my family xx

i voted no as i couldn't let something as important be given to someone, never mind someone staying sober enough to do it properly. it would break my heart if it ended up crap as it can never be recreated

thanks ladies, i really dont know either way yet (got plenty of time to work it out) there is always the choice of have a prof do it and do this as well, to get a different view of the day, we will have a budget of about £1k for videography and this is about £400 so if i could find a videographer for about £600 could have 2, or is that just greedy lol, did have video for our first wedding so really dont want to miss out on it this time xx
