Hey, next week me and h2b are going ring shopping!! so excited but because of the awkward shape of my engagement ring i can't get a ring to fit around it so it will be worn on to my right hand, and i would really like a wedding ring with one diamonds/stones on it and i can only find these in engagement ring section, my question is does it really matter if its a proper traditional wedding band? but then again i dont know weather to get a bridal set (two rings, so people know that i have been engaged and now married) but don't won't to offend h2b . sorry if doesn't make sense...

No it doesn't matter if its not a traditional wedding band, you can have any ring you want. You can rings made to fit around your engagement ring, there's a few ladies on here who have had it done. I think smooch do them x

does the shop that you got your engagement ring not have a matching wedding ring or can they not custom make one? If not i think it's all about personal choice, you will know that you have been engaged and married.

I wouldn't worry about a traditional band, the one i am getting isn't -it is slightly swirly and has diamonds in it. I'll post a pic of it on my wall

Oh okay, feeling much happier now as i thought the traditional band was a must have! and we are on a budget so cant get one made would be far too dear :( and christina im not sure about that, but not being mean towards my h2b but the ring i want is the style which i wanted my engagement ring to be which i showed him but he completely ignored it x

    Hi Roxanne

As the ladies have said it really makes no difference if your wedding band isn't actually a wedding band! What I would say is don't dismiss the idea of having one made to fit your engagement ring. We are also on a budget and found that sm00ch we're so much cheaper than the high st jewellers we went to and I got to design my bridal set (h2b also designed his wedding band and got a bit carried away with the diamonds... BUT it still worked out less than the high st!)

    Hope that helps x

    It doesn't matter.
I have a Claddagh as my Wedding ring.
I don't wear my E ring as the Claddagh is such an unusual shape.

I love my Wedding ring and wouldn't swap it for anything!!

    :-)

No it doesn't matter but have you considered getting a custom made ring to fit around your engagement ring?

It can be whatever you want it to be! After all, you are going to be wearing it a very long time so whatever you decide on make sire its what you want and not what you think you should have!

    Hi Bev,
So pleased you said sm00ch was much cheaper than the high street, my engagement ring is an awkward shape and in high street shops it's so expensive- and that's not even made to measure rings! I've got an appointment with sm00ch next week and I'm really hoping they can help!

It doesn't have to be traditional; try a shaped ring and get diamonds put in :)
