Does it matter if your rings match? My engagement ring is platinum my h2b wants a titanium wedding band but i think it will erode platinum as its such a soft metal.
Does it matter if we have two different metals?
And also we were on a budget so i purchased two rings off @m@zon for £45 as a sort of tide us over until we have emough cash to splash iut... Is this frowned upon? X

no not at all, i think the same colour looks nice but again it really doesn't matter everybody has their own colour preferences and styles and if you feel ok to get the £45 rings until you have the funds to splurge then by all means go ahead, all weddings are different there are no rights and wrongs

We don't have matching rings, mine is platinum and hubby's is titanium. It's about what you both prefer not anybody else, you're the ones wearing the rings after all! Xx

We have silver rings at the moment as we couldn't afford platinum. My ER is platinum but we had to make a major cut back so until we can afford it, that's what we have done xx

Agree with the others - it doesn't really matter what you get, as long as you are both happy with what you have.

Looking forward to becoming the 3rd and last Mrs McLauchlan

Ours don't match either. Mine is white gold with diamonds and OH's is silver with an original design. I don't think it matters at all, you have what you want! Xx

Its nice if they match for photos, but they definitely don't have to. In reality your wedding day is really the only day you would see both rings side by side anyway! You're better off finding something that suits you both individually and if they match that's a happy coincidence. :)

Ive purchased a couple of cheap ones that match. They look nice but its just for the photos. Will definitely be buying some new ones in the future.
I just paid the last £2500 on the venue so im trying to squeeze every penny at the moment. Lol

My hubby to be is having just a plain gold band. But I'm having my moms old wedding ring melted down and made into mine. Both will be gold but not properly matching

Our wedding rings don't match. I didn't think they had to. My husband has a 2 tone ring (gold and silver) with diamonds in. I have a white gold wedding ring with alternate baguette cut and round diamonds in it.

They look really nice. Don't worry about the matching thing. Our rings are both plane gold bands, but his is wider, about twice as wide as mine. And so many ladies wedding ring do not match the husbands, like those set with the engagement ring. It's gonna be lovely :)

I wouldnt worry about them matching..
you both have to wear them for the rest of your lives so needs to be something both of you love.

Personally im not that keen on OHs ring but he loves it and thats all that matters. I dont have to wear it!!

Nothing wrong with a ring to tide you over x

Fab! I have just ordered a silver one just so it matched my engagement ring (in colour anyway) because the oneswe got have a wooden band around the middle and it looks odd as a match. My daughters got my other ring on a necklace in her jewelry box.
