Hi all got a wee question for you, i was just thinking when trying for a baby and you have **** when your ovulating whats the chances of me fallin pregnant? obviously there could be 1 or 2 other factors (but we have just started trying and dont want to think about those other factors just now!) but on average what do you think the chances are? im just really excited at the thought of possibly bein pregnant :)

Hi, im not a fertility expert but I think there would be far too many variables to put odds on your individual chances of conceiving on any given day, and I think it would vary for individuals month to month also. For example, me and h2b tried for 6 years for dd1 (I have pcos) then we broke up for a short period and therefore were not trying but I caught pregnant at that time. Then with dd2 we did it once in about 6 months (we weren't trying and lack of opportunity lol) and I caught pregnant. Try to be relaxed about it, have fun and let nature take its course otherwise you might get stressed about it which isn't helpful. Remember, the vast majority of people conceive naturally within 1 year. If you want to find out when you're most fertile, you could try the temperature chart kits. Good luck, xx.

I think every woman is different and there is no way of saying you will deinitely get pregnant at any given time. When my h2b and I decided to start trying we thought it would take ages but within a month I was pregnant unfortunatly at 15 weeks I lost the baby. We waited a few months before starting to try again thinking it would happen just as quick, but 2.5 years on we are still trying and its not happening. We are now just planning to get through the wedding and then see what happens. xx

    Hi there,
I'm no fertility expert and me and my partner tried for a year for every way suggested before we realised there was a problem and hospital confirmed this and it was actually me because of surgerys i had when i was younger.

But the things we tried that i was told by a doctor was

For month i tracked when i was ovulating and then my cycle to exact day (start to finish). I then counted to the 14th day after the start of my last cycle and was told 14th to 17th day before next ovulation is best time . But this really depends on your cycle if your always a early cycle or u run to 28 days or even 30 exactly. Try using a conception calculator there loads on the net to help try and work out your days. Its not guaranteed and i must admit isnt always aquirate depending on if your regular or if your body times its cycles at a different time every month.

But my best advice to you is relax, enjoy and just take thing as they go.
    Good Luck Hun xxx
    Lou
