hi girl, i was just wondering if the groom wears a different colour tie or flower or something to everyone else.. cos i think he should stand out from the rest of the wedding party.. going on some pics i looked at on the net i think he wears a different colour tie or something.

Mine is wearing uniform, while the rest are wearing suits. So a slight difference!
However his uniform is different to the other guys who are wearing uniform

I have seen wedding pics where they did that and it looked nice, but its just totally up to your taste hun. I'm persoanlly having them all the same as I think it will look cute lol

my h2b and best man are having red flowers whereas dads ushers and mums flowers will be white but they will all have the same colour cravat. Think its really up to you and h2b babe.

I'm having mine all the same purely because I had their cravats made from the bridal shop I got the BM's dresses from so they match the exact colour of the girls dresses - although we do get cravats with the hire of the kilts which are a charcoal colour and H2B is swithering whether to wear that instead but if not then they will all be matching xx

I'm the same as mrsquinn, H2B is wearing a hot pink cravat, and the rest are wearing ivory, I think it might be more traditional if it was the other way but Ben likes the pink and noone else does!!

Hey, I think you can do it which ever way you want. For our wedding my colour scheme is purple all the groomsman will be in ivory waistcoats with purple cravats but my h2b will be in ivory waistcoat with an ivory cravat, I think its nice for the groom too look a little different. x

My H2B is wearing an ivory waist coat, his button hole will be the same but will have a diamante in it. All the other boys are wearng silver waist coats. This is what H2B wanted and Im happy with that as his waist coat will match my dress.

We're having H2Bs tie made to match the bridesmaids, but then the other men will just have plain ivory, and his button hole will have wiring to tie in with the colour theme too. All the waistcoats will probably be the same though x

It's tradition for the groom to match the bride and the groomsmen to match the bridesmaids. H2B is wearing ivory cravat and groomsmen are having bright pink. Groom will also have a bigger buttonhole.

Tom tried to wear somehting different but in the end wore the same as the other groomsmen. The only diffence was the button hole being slightly different. x x

kizzi i think thats exactly what i'll do..i'm having a silver dress and red roses, b/m's in red dresses with white roses so i'll have h2b in silver cravat with red buttonhole and all the other groomsmen in red cravat with white buttonhole.

I'm going to make h2bs buttonhole different and he isn't wearing a formal suit of any kind,as we are having a casual feel to our wedding as it could potentially be a scorcher i really didn't want our guests to be uncomfortable and our friends are not really suit people!!

my theme is burgundy and ivory, all of the groomsmen will be in burgundy waistcoats with ivory cravats,and the groom will be in an ivory waitcoat with a burgundy cravat, i wanted mark to stand out and thought he would look best in the ivory waistcoat, the page boy will be dressed in the same as Mark x

we're having Hot Pink, Ivory, Feathers and Sparkles as our theme so im in ivory, ants in black with ivory waistcoat and hot pink cravat and not sure what the buttonholes will be yet and 5 grooms men will be in black with hot pink waistcoats and ivory cravats/ties (not sure if they should be in ties and just my man in a cravat!) and then my 4 bridesmaids will be in hot pink swing style dresses (as long as i get my way!!!) my bouquet will be Hot pink roses with diamante pins and i want the tips of the rose petals to be dipped in glitter for that extra sparkle! and im having feathers included in the bouquets! omg i am going to be a quite diva-esq bride me thinks!!!! xxx

H2B is going to be the only one in a teal scrunch tie and hanky, the BM and ushers just have ivory but will have teal ribbon on there buttonholes and H2B will have an ivory one. I originally wanted H2B to have a different waistcoat but they only had one waistcoat that we liked in the shop we are hiring from. Its a personal choice I just wanted H2B to stand out from the rest.

all the men are going to be wearing there own family tartan so its going to be a big mix of colour anyway, so i cant see him wearing something to match, unless he gets a differant colour buttonhole.
its going to be a colourful eyesore this wedding :)
