I was wondering if any of you have had the mirena coil and had it removed to TTC?

I had mine removed 2 weeks ago and I feel so poorly :-( my boobs hurt, my lower back aches, I have a head ache and I feel like Im due on.........does anyone know if this is normal, Im thinking its just my body trying to get back to normal but didnt know I would feel like this :-(

I would say its probably just your body trying to get back to normal & adjust etc seeing as your body is use to having that coil there, and its only been two weeks so i would say its normal xx

Hiya chic, I had the mirena coil. When I had it removed I got caught pregnant a week later... any chance you could be pregnant? If not then it's your body getting used to not having all that extra progesterone. You should return to normal within about 6 weeks. xx

Yes its normal, your body is just adjusting to normal. My mum recently had hers removed and then followed with the worst period she has ever had, she was in agony and bleeding for 7 days but it was her body adjusting and now feels so much better and followed by normal periods.

Yes I agree. The coil is one of the strongest forms of contreception, so your body is probably just trying to get rid of all those extra hormones. See how you go over the next few weeks, if it doesent get any better then perhaps do a test or speak to your doctor x

yes, it is normal. i had the mirena take some time for your periods to get back to normal.

i agree with the others, if you arent better in a few weeks do a test and then see your doc x
