..stretch shoes???? I've now bought 2 pairs of shoes for the wedding. They're both gorgeous and fit well - except that I have quite wide feet and they could do with a little 'give' to them width-ways.

Is there anything I could put in to widen them just a little bit? One pair fitted great in a size 7 (widthways) but was slobbing when I walked - so finished up with a size 6 - and they fit lengthways but are slightly narrower. Oh one more thing - one pair is patent and the other is tweed (don't know if that makes any difference lol).

For natural fibres you can put Vaseline on a spoon and push it around the inner edge of the bit to be stretched repeatedly. As in several nights in a row. It takes a while but apparently works...never done it myself. Not sure if would work for those specific fabrics though....

the best way is actually to spray the inside with water wait a few minutes and them wear them till the inside is dry ....the tweed one will be easier to do

my mum always told me to put wet newpaper in them... stuff as MUCH as you can and leave them till they dry. I think it works on the same principle as Lalabunnys. Water makes them stretch and when they are dry they remain in that stretched state APPARENTLY

TIP I WAS TOLD... And worked for me many a time..

    Water expands when it freezes.

Line each shoe with a plastic carrier bag, corners at the toes and heel..but check for no holes in the bags first! lmao.. then fill each bag to the brim of the shoes with water..being careful not to spill or over fill. Making sure the water in the bags are filling each part of the shoe.
Tie a knot in each bag and place in the top of your freezer.

The idea is as the water expands in the freezing process it stretches the shoe, no matter what the material, leather whatever..

you could take them to a shoe shop i am sure they would do something for you and it never seems to cost that much. better than possibly making a mess of them if you love them :D

Thanks for all the tips ladies - I'll definitely try some of them. They're a lot better than h2b's suggestion - 'why can't you just strap your little toe, maybe with a plaster? pmsl - men!!!!!

are they satin, if they are used to do it with my dance shoes, which was put them on and wet all of both shoes and wear them for a few hours and they mould to your feet.
