Hi, me and my H2B have already chosen our wedding rings but now the day is getting closer we don't actually know how we are going to afford them so we have been looking on the bay of e and have found new rings we like (pics in my albums). They are only £65 for the two of them whereas my ring alone before was £200. I feel they are too cheap but i do like them even if they aren't white gold. What do you all think?? xxx

Hi hun, i think if you are happy with them then go ahead and buy them - no one else is going to know that they aren't white gold. I fell in love with a swarvoski ring that goes perfectly with my E- ring and its a grand total of £40! Only me and my OH are going to know that its swarovski crystals and not diamonds! xx

Go for it, you can always go for something more expensive later down the line when you have the money. That is basically what all of the older generation of my family have done. It doesn't affect your wedding one bit and it's one thing less to worry about forking out a fortune for. I'm lucky that my Nanny has given me my wedding ring and h2b isn't fussed so he will have a cheap one.

    I can't wait until 29/06/2013
The day I marry the man of my dreams!

Titanium maybe cheap but it'll never bend out of shape and will never tarnish like white gold does. It'll last you a life time and still look as good as the day you got it (may need cleaning but it'll never need re-plating like white gold)

We're getting titanium rings too :)

I don't think wedding rings need to be made of precious metals that cost a fortune. It's the symbolism that's important, and as long as they stay looking great for your whole life, then that's all you really need. Titanium comes in all sorts of cool designs too :)

My e-ring is white gold and I fully intend to wear a titanium wedding ring with it.

The kissing ring company on here have said before that it doesn't matter what metals you wear together because it would take decades for any sort of wear to be noticeable. If you're happy with how the rings look together there's nothing to worry about really.

Price means nothing. My oh picked a ring that cost £20 purely because he liked it. It's more about what the ring symbolizes.

Thank you, we will definately be getting them as the white gold needs coating every 12-18 months anyway so we can't see the titanium making much of a difference to that!! Kev's angel, thank you I just hope it will all blend in nicely on the day!! And I like your rings too JennyTembo. x

My ring is 2mm yellow gold and that's exactly what I wanted, and it was £50. I didn't choose it to save money, that was a bonus.
Does it really matter what a ring costs as long as it does the job it's meant to do?

Mine looks slim and delicate and I love it, some people like theirs to be studded with diamonds....but a plain 2mm yellow gold one.....well if its good enough for Princess Katherine, its good enough for me......(though hers probably cost more than £50! ) LOL

both of ours came to less than £90 I think, OH was £35 for argentium silver from argooos, mine was from an internet company and is white gold. Not quite the shape I wanted, but we have decided that as an anniversary present in the future we will get better rings!
Its what they symbolise that matters, not what they cost

It's not the price tag that's important hun, it is what is important to you both and what those rings mean and symbolise. So I would say get the rings that you can afford and not get you into debt over and that are special to you both, get what you are both happy with xx

Like a lot of the other ladies have said its what the rings symbolise, not what they cost. Another thing is that the only opinion that matter is yours because you are the only one who wears them, everyone else will look at them for a few seconds at most but you have to wear it every day for the rest of your life so you have to love it, doesn't matter if it's a neon pink glow ring or white gold!

I know alot of people who got rings they could afford then bought nicer ones after their wedding, my aunty & uncle done this actually but as others have said its what the ring symbolises that counts/matters, nothing else.
