my cheif bridesmaid has been aranging my hen do and shes had to tell me everything simply because of all the agro shes been getting from everyone she has put together a package for my hen doo for £60 each and some people are complaining that its too much money but after she told me what is included in the £60 i didnt think it was to bad.....it includes a return minibus to manchester (we live an hour away) a meal out (starter and a main) at chinquittos, entry- reserved seating at the birdcage, a personalised sash each and £15 each in a kitty to buy drinks during the meal and at the bird cage. i think thats quite reasonable price...anyone else think its too much? how much is everyone paying for your hen doo? x

For what you are getting that sounds reasonable. You could easily spend more doing a lot less on a more unplanned do.

I agree that doesn't sound too bad at all especially with what is included in the price

i think thats absolutley fine! If it makes them feel better, how about taking the £15 out (they'll end up spending it anyway but £45 might sound less?)

I was going to make the exact same recommendation as Mrs Shaw. I hate having a kitty for drinks as I'm not much of a drinker and my 2 glasses of soft drink never quite adds up to same as the girl that's had 2 bottles of wine!

Other than that the price is great.

thanks for the reasurance girls! i think the 2 that have complained were just looking for a way out anyway, we have thaught about knocking the kitty off to make it cheaper but i dont think they would come anyway think they were just looking for an excuse not to come. everyoone else seems fine with it but if alot more cant come because of the price we will nock the kitty of and even coinsidered nocking the meal of and meeting at my mums for something to eat before hand. x

I think it great price, we paid about the same for similar thing on a hen do i went on last year.

we didnt have money for a kitty but we all put a bit in so that the bride didnt have to pay for the whole thing as a gift to her x

    That sounds cheap to me.
The only time I have ever spent less than £100 is when we have done a night in my local town that I walk in and out of.

this is an excellent price for everything

i cancelled my hen night because noone would pay anything and it was cheaper than yours!! it seems that the guys will pay stupid amounts for a stag do, but the women are crap at putting their hand in their pocket

I agree with Kisy, my h2b had to decline a stag do last year as it was over £500pp and he didn't have the spare cash. Still, a good sized group of men turned up! I organised the hen do for his bride and struggled to get £50 out of the girls.

Annoyingly, the person that complained the most, to the point that I ditched some of the plans, dropped out just a few days before.

I think its a good deal however remember everyone has different money and what they consider alot is not always to someone else. I wouldn't think twice about paying £200+ on someone's hen do but i know my friends may not all afford that so £50 to them on a night out is alot. Also remember people will be paying out for your actual wedding day, outfit, drinks, hotel, present, etc so may be all too much. I do think however your hen do package sounds realistic and knock off the 'kitty' and see what they say?! I dont really like kitty's as people drink different drinks so unfair for someone on coke to pay the same amount as someone on a bottle of wine so everyone pays for themselves is easier and fairer. If they are still making excuses then i would imagine they aren't bothered about coming and making up excuses so leave them ! xx
