can someone shed some light on this topic for me.....we are getting married in church in two years and have been told different things regarding registrars.....do we have to inform the register office or not...im really not sure what i have to do xx

if it is CofE no you do not as the vicar is legally the registrar, however if you are getting married in a catholic church or some other churches you do as they need to be present to sign the register. I would phone the local registery office to confrim this just to be sure or speak to your church admin or vicar.

If it's CofE then you have your banns read by the church instead of giving notice xx
