Thank you Brilly, How many sweets do you reckon on the 8cm ball? probably a similar size to Ferrero Roch? Sorry to be a pain and ask all these questions lol.

I am thinking chocolate balls and chocolate hearts?

I think there was over 30 ferrero on the 1 pictured hun it just depends on the size of the sweets really, chocolate hearts if its the ones im thinking of will be roughtly the same number and ask as much as you like hun i dont mind at all xxx

Cheers Brilly, one more question ..... if you glue the sweets (the foiled sweets) are they easy to pull off without pulling the whole tree over?

Was thinking about gluing to pins but wondered if my venue would get all Health & Safety on me!? lol!

Emma aslong as you hold on to the tree hun they should come off no problem just try to use a small amount of glue on them, if pinning them try pin at the edges of the wrappers so you dont have to pull the pins out you should just be able to tear the sweet from the pin if that makes sense xx

Mrs B wrapped sweets are ok hun but if they arnt sealed the air and moisture can be a factor hun, also if using plaster of paris in the base dont put sweets on top as plaster holds its moisture and sweets will go mouldy xx

Thanks again. I'm using flower foam and stones in the base. I've made 2 wrapped sweet trees - but wanted to see if there's a way I could get the others out of the way so I have a few less jobs in that last week x

We had a very full sweetie table and 4 trees on that table. although the guests dived into the jars and bowls - not one sweet was taken from the trees! They looked as perfect at the end of the night as when they started ! Perhaps worth an individual "eat me" sign stuck on the stick or something would've worked x

    Hi all a question.

Has anyone completed a sweet tree with the foiled chocolate balls (ooo-er!) you can get using the 8cm polystyrene ball?

If so how many of those sweets did you get on the tree? I am trying to work out how many I would need to purchase.

Also, how far in advance would you buy chocolate for the sweet trees?

OK fair enough. I just don't want to order too many and have loads left over! I would end up eating them and not good before getting in a Wedding Dress lol.

Reckon I will order the chocolate a month before then. Thanks Brilly, I knew you could help :)

Maybe if you get a ball hun and use a coin of a similar size to the ball then mark circles on the ball for each choc ball this way you should be to work out roughly how many you need xxx
