So i have been planning my wedding for 14months now and have 6weeks left... Throughout this time budgeting was in the back of our heads as we are trying to save for a house and want to start a family. So i wanted to share the things i did myself and saved a lot of money.
Firstly i did my own Invites day and evening, if i knew how to upload pics i could show you.
Then i did my own table names, place cards, table plan, favours, menus and centre pieces, and wedding post box.
I have also got a mum who can make dresses so my bridesmaid dresses for 2 has cost me £30.
I also got budget shoes £10 in matalan, along with shawls for bridesmaids £8 each.
By budgeting meant i could get the venue and dress of my dreams :)

What budgeting have you done? xx

Have you got pics in your albums?

Well done on the budgeting! We are going to make our invites, favours, place cards & table plan also. I've already ordered my BMs shoes from a high street shop for a bargain, I've found BMs dresses from AS*S, which are also a bargain & I'm carrying on the search for bargains! xx

    Hey :)
I am hoping to hand make everything apart from the clothing except the Groom's Party !
I bought a vintage wedding dress for £20 from Save the Children . I am going to recreate it to make it my own .Prob spend another 20 on materials . I have my MOH dress ( for free ) , just needs a few bits done here and there and dying a pastel colour . I may make the other BM's dresses , but may be easier searching for sale dresses .
I am making the youngest two BM dresses and FlowerGirls dresses . Also making Save the Date cards , invites , favours , table centers , cake , presents , food for BBQ , food for evening dance , hair pieces ,bags , jewellary... the whole lot :)
Unless I find the above cheaper elsewhere then it's all handmade :)

Hello! Ive done my own save the dates, il be doing my own invites, which ive scrawled on paper, so i know what i want i just need to fully install the correct program on my pc!

Im currently painting a picture which will pay for my printer when sold

Im making my own sweet trees

ive also thought about getting jars and breaking glow stick fluid into them for the lighting in the ceremony room, but il have to look into that more as it's literally just an idea at the mometn and not sure how possible it would be. Or if it is, how much a gazzilion glow sticks would be lmao

I'm hoping to make my own bouquets for me and the bm's and the button holes. but i need to look into how to actually do that

My favours, which ive been umming and ahh'ing over for a while, ive finally decided on, Im going to get spring flowering gluebells bulbs and put them in tiny plant pots with a bit of soil which will be cheap as chips, i just need to decorate the plant pots

Also doing my own sweet buffet

Im no seamstress so Il have to buy the frocks etc, but il be getting them from the internet/second hand/in the sales

Il be doing my own wishtree/wishing well but ive not put any though into that yet, as i only figured out what one actually was yesterday lol

Lucky for my mum has bought my dress and his mum is buying shoes, i luv how you've made everything else yourself i think i'm going to have to do the same so i can have the venue. My H2B is wanting to postpone the wedding to save more money for it but it'll be third time we've post-poned and I don't want to do it again :( well done with all yours though its very impressive xx

I got my bridesmaid outfit from a charity shop (its a lovely monsoon one) but not got accessories yet.
I am planning on making my own veil and tiara/headpiece - the material and comb for the veil came to £15, but I have enough to make several veils (its really wide material, and I got two colours to get the best match). If I decide to add ribbon/crystals/lace then it will add some more, but I can make and sell on the other veils to get that money back.
We printed our own invitations, just found a nice border design online and put in our text. Card and envelopes were from a shop that was closing down, so saved a bit on those too.
Having very simple flowers with lots of greenery in as its so much cheaper. None on tables except top table, which double up as gifts.
Got earrings from my mum for christmas and borrowing a necklace, exchanged another christmas gift for a bracelet.
Seem to be getting good deals from suppliers as have connections to dj, photographer and flower lady.
Overall doing quite well, never thought i'd be a diy/crafty person!
