Wedding Forum - Do any of you have a 'suprise' planned for...

Im trying to think of something i can suprise my H2b with on our wedding day.... I literally have no ideas so looking for some inspiration?

I haven't got anything to put into the day that will surprise him but I think I've found a gift that will really surprise him and I know he's going to love!
We went camping to bridlington in september and while there went to a birds of prey centre and he absolutely loved it, so I think I'm going to get him a falconry experience day as a gift. :)

Some ladies have organised cards from favourite football/rugby teams or boudoir photo shoot. All I've managed to do so far is buy a silver heart, which is inscribed with love of my life (which I shall sneak into the inside pocket of his suit).

oooh oooh ive got an idea! Im going to see (price up) how much it will be to hire a sports car, ferrari or something for like an hour between wedding breakfast and reception for us to have some time out together and he gets to drive an amazing car!!!!

well what about a track day then?

Im going down the aisle to his favourite song, Tom Sawyer by Rush. He'll love it!

I am also a bit stuck on this. My gift will include a photo of me but that won't surprise him. Am stuck on the rest. He's the nerdy geek type and couldn't care less about football or cars. So that's ruled out.

So far I've got him a signed certificate from Liverpool FC... was thinking about getting a watch and getting it engraved but will have to see what money situtaion is like as buying a house and with the wedding coming up not sure if I'll want to splash out any more money at mo... xx

I think we have similar wedding thoughts!! Which reminds me, I saw some shoes that made me think of you, link on your wall.

I have no idea what to get h2b yet either! Really bugging me as Im normally so good at presents and all the rest of the family normally come to me for inspiration :-s
I think because he was away for over 8 months working last year and I kept sending him little gifts from me and the kids it has wiped out my ideas list.

My OH is quite nerdy/geeky too and wouldnt be interested in anything football/sport related and hes done a few track/sports car things so I dont feel that would be right. Boudoir shoot is out as I wouldnt subject even my worst enemy to that lol

The only thing he is desperate for is to get us all over to Australia to live but I dont have a magic wand to sort that one :-(

Master at multi-tasking, ability to be in 3 places at one time and even have eyes on the back of my head but just cant seem to find the Magic Wand shop!

Might contact a few of the guys he works with and see if they can do me a small mock of him as one of the main characters in one of the shows he has worked on - that might be cool. hmmmm

My h2b is a trainer freak. Seriously he has sooo many. All of the 3 striped variety.
Well that shop does a create your own trainer thing. I might get him a voucher for that so he can pick his own colours etc. He'd love that.

Though it's £75 so it totally depends on cash flow. If I can't do it on the day it'll be a xmas present!

So far mine's getting a photo of me - boudoir shoot style, and I'm having our wedding rings engraved as a surprise as he wants to get it done so I thought if I got the best man in on the secret he could wait until the wedding day to show h2b.

I don't know what else to get him really as I bought him a watch for his birthday that he wears every day already so I don't know what else to get him! I thought of maybe getting him some special cufflinks but my step-father makes jewellery and he's made the wedding party all a set as a special gift from him so I didn't want to take away from that!

am looking at getting a signed photograph of us 2 signed by ranulh fiennes as thats his hero

i've hired a Bently to come and pick Adam up and take him and the Best Man to the wedding. He doesn't know about it so will be expecting to have to drive himself :o) I looked into hiring a sports car for him to drive but the prices were ridiculous. Oh and I've bought him an Armani watch he's been drooling over too x

I am thinking of getting h2b a little box with things in with little messages which i will give for him to open the night before -
Something to go with his last supper
I love pocket watches so there will be one of them so he can be on time
I have a groom mug, i might get him some whiskey - for some dutch courage
And hopefully i can have a few more ideas
But his main present (as long as i can convince him not to buy it before hand) will be an ipad engraved with something - maybe the wedding date

im wanting to hire a 67 chevy impala for him (or buy a beat up one that he can fix up himself afterwards) but theres not many left! he loves that car and refuses to go visit my family in the states til we have to money to import one on our way back! i dont care if the doors are falling off the exhaust is blowing, bumpers are trailing along the ground and theres no working headlights! he will love it no matter how beat up it is

On the day itself? That could prove uncomfortable for the rest of the day.

For those of you asking about the football club letter, there is a long thread about it already with tips on what to do. I'm thinking of trying to do that too! I like some of these other ideas too!

hmmm thats true too.... i can think of lots of things i would like as a suprise!! he would have just qualified as a physio so maybe a stethascope engraved. ahhhhh its so hard!!! im usually the best present buyer xx

I might get all the guests to write us a message and type them up and get them projected somewhere.

Hes alwayswanted a bulldog puppy too if they wernt a 5th of our budget id treat him to one haha

I'm doing a something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue gift box for h2b. I've got to work out what his something borrowed could be! Might give him something silly and 'borrow' an image from his favourite ps3 game. Assassin's creed cupcakes or something!

Something Old: I'm having a star named for our wedding day.
Something New: An engraved hip flask with a little dutch courage!
Something Borrowed: Assassin's creed cupcakes is my best idea so far.
Something Blue: A photo of me edged in blue card to put in his suit pocket. Narcisism much?

Dan's a massive wrestling geek, so after seeing this post I had another idea. His favourite wrestler is Jeff Hardy, as well as wrestling, he also does these really weird pictures with spray paint - kind of scary faces, a lot of self portraits. Anyway, I've just written to the people that deal with his website to ask if I can purchase one. Not sure what they cost, or how I'll get it into the country, but I shall await a reply.
