Well we have just booked the DJ, who we know from one of our locals and are meeting up with him for a drink on Friday to discuss music, confirm the booking and pay a deposit. He has all certs and two sets of a equipment dependent on venue size and is well recommended (we have seen him a few times as well).
We have booked him for 5.30-12.00 pm playing any music we like all for £250, is this an okay price?

we paid £290 for ours, he works for the hotel so we thought it was resonable we didn't want to pay more than £250 but we couldn't be bothered to look round for one ourselves, plus we knew he was a good DJ as we had met him at the wedding fair there a few months before.
Sounds like you've got a good deal there hun
