New to all this and my first post so hopefully it will make sense.
I've only ever had one person do my make up in my life and I hated the whole experience. I now hate the thought of anyone doing my make up for and don't want anyone touching my face.
I've been thinking about doing my own make up on the day, with practise of course. But I do my own make up all the time and have a million and one products that I know work with my skin.
Has anyone done this and later regretted it? Or been in the same position and then gone with a make up artist?
I have very short hair too so make up is really important to me, it makes me look more feminine.
Not sure how to upload pictures, if I could I could show what I do atm.
Thanks in advance x

It is so hard to make make up for yourself. It is not better to hire a good makeup master?

I thought about doing my own makeup for my wedding day because I know what works for my skin and I think I'm pretty good when it comes to makeup if I actually make an effort with it lol. Then though loads of my guests are getting theirs done professionally and that was what swayed me in the end. So in the end I've booked to get my makeup done professionally. I'm great at makeup but that mua I've booked does it every day of her life on lots of different faces and has been an mua 10 years. There's no way I can possibly be as good as that. It's one day, as much as I don't like stepping out of my comfort zone because I have a bit anxiety if I'm honest I'm just going to do it. It took me ages of swaying about makeup though lol I only decided two weeks ago and I get married on the 2nd November. X

Organizing a wedding is very troublesome. Many points require your attention. Therefore, I believe that makeup is best left to the makeup artist. And to concentrate on issues that cannot be resolved without you.
