is any1 making there own invites?? i have been looking at the pocket fold style but they are roughly 99p each just had a look on the bay of e and i can get 100 gatefold invites and envelopes for less then £15 which is a bargain for any1 making there own as u just have to print and stick the invites in urself xxx

I have made all my own invites and everyone has loved them! I got mine from the bay of e gatefold style then printed the wording onto coloured paper cut that out stuck it in with a few diamonte's put a heart stamp on the front and tied a ribbon around it. I have to say I'm really pleased with how it has turned out!

I would upload photo's but i'm not sure how sorry x

shazzi these were for a6 hun which is small but ive just been looking and the a5 version is nearly £33 for 100 but but but an a5 sized gatefold is also the same size as A4 when opened up which means its cheaper to buy the A4 card which ive just found for under £8 and score and fold them yourself which is what i will be doing so its a saving of £25 xx

everything is being printed off for me thanks to my uncles gf so i just need to get the gatefolds which i am just using A4 hammered ivory card to match rsvp's etc but invite itself will be with card with purple pearlescent background

    A4 hammered card 100 sheets £15.90
pearlescent cadbury purple paper 50 sheets £5.75 plus £2.85 p&p
    100 ivory A5 envelopes £3.90 plus £2.59 p&p

now just need to find some nice ribbon and bits for front so hopefully costing less then £40 for day and evening invites xx

We're thinking of making our own origami ones like these - by making them in different sizes they'll work as STD's, invites & placenames :) We'd just need to print the info in the right places on some good quality paper & get envelopes Xx

I made my own invites (will bump up the thread) but they were pricy because of how thick the card was. They could have been done cheaper tho. I found pocket folds and boxes for 80p on one site but the dearer boxes (used only for day guests) were £1.40 but at least 80p is better than the 99p you got quoted. Will put the sites on your wall and will bump my stationary thread x

cant wait to be Mrs Evans less than 3 weeks woooo
    start weight 10st 1.5 lbs
    weight now 8st 4.5 lbs
total loss to date: 24.5 lbs now need to maintain!

I didn't know what a gatefold was, so I looked it up on wikipedia. This is what it said:
A gatefold is a type of fold used for advertising around a magazine or section, and for packaging of media such as the pornographic industry.
    Hilarious :-)
Now I think about it, looks like someone has been editing wikipedia. Lol.

I am making my own invites. Just ordered the card, 50 sheets of A3 navy card and I am still concerned it will not be enough as well as 20 sheets of pink & ivory shimmer card. Hoping to do pocketfold invitations but I am yet to have a practise. x

I am making my own invites, they are a pocket design.

I am making the pockets out of black card with a silver dragonfly on the front, with a pull out black card Insert which has a red ribbon attached. The insert is folder with on 1 side the invite which has a red ribbon on it for pulling it out with the invite details and the other side having the rsvp details. The details are on printed white paper which I am gluing in and both have a swirl design I drew myself : )

It is way cheaper than buying them and keeps me busy in the run up
