Hi i wonder if anyone could advise me on what time to start getting ready for my wedding. I get married at 4.30 with the car picking me up at 4.10. My daughter is doing my make up we had a trial and it took her approx 45mins to do it. and my step daughter to be is a hairdresser and is doing my hair i haven't had a trial as she lives 250 miles away so i have no idea how long it will take i'm guessing an hour. I just want to avoid being ready too early. we don't have a photographer coming to the hotel she will meet us at the venue so there are no restrictions in that area. Also would you have make up or hair done first? Thanks in advance.

How long will the make up and hair take to do, each? Are other people getting ready with you? What is your dress like and how long does it take to do it up?

Dont you have to be at the venue 30 mins before to have meeting with registrar. If thats the case, allowing for travel (if needed), hair, make-up and getting dressed, id say start around midday. My friend was getting married at 2pm, I was doing her hair plus mine and 3 other BMs, we got there at 9am and I was finishing myself off when car arrived to get us at 12
    30! The time flies!

Thanks for that charlie all i know is the car is coming at 4.10 we are getting married at Gretna Green they just give you a schedule and it says pick up at 4.10. I think midday sounds good I can't bear the thought of being ready too soon because i'll start to get nervous if i do that, too much time to think and stress over things.
