I thought this could be a fun thread!

I am embracing my inner bridezilla tonight and have decided on a slightly ott idea.
What's your diva extravaganza on the big day?
I know Gracelet has great stories about her w2b wanting a helicopter :-) Any more fun/demanding/out there/hair raising/luxurious ideas?

Mine is including the flower girl - having someone throw petals for me to walk on seems really pretentious to me. So my fg will wear a little drawstring bag shaped like a cupcake (I made it) and it will be filled with lots of teeny tiny cupcakes (will make them) for her to scatter around. I can't think of a more pretentious entry for me :-)

The diva part of my wedding is the dress and the stretch limo car! And maybe my feather headress if I wear it. People think I'm maybe going for a nice sophistcated dress in keeping with my age and with it being my second marriage *laughs*

I'd love a helicopter, need that lotto win like we all do ;0)

mine is just my song for walking own the aisle is being done in love actually style as i used to be a music student so i have 12 friends who will be sitting in as normal but scattered over and then as soon as my other group of friends start playing music they will stand up and start singing i just thought this might be slightly quirky and different and it is something i have always wanted since watching the film :) x

Mine is probably the venue. Went from wanting a small wedding to getting a manor house setting with the whole of the east wing and gardens exclusive to me. I also have a huge staircase to walk down that leads to the aisle so more princess than diva. The diva part has come from decorating the venue-the bill for the flowers would give elton john a heartattack and I don't think I am going over the top too much but certain parts of the room need decoration and a small display wouldn't look right xx

Wifey 2 b is turning proper bridezilla. Re decision making, her latest statement is "It's my wedding. You can come if you want to"

Obviously, she's joking a bit. But then I fear she's not!!!

her demands- helicopter, rolex as a wedding gift from me
my demands- pronovias dress, manolo blahniks!

By comparison, some people would say I'm cheap.

Its not really a diva demand, more mummy common sense in my opinion.... but my 1 big demand on the day is this:
My 7 year old son is mini best man and will be arriving on the back of h2bs bike on the day.... as are the best man and h2bs bike club..... so all in all possibly about 10 bikes.
I have put my foot down and insisted that my son will not be going on the bike unless he is suitably attired and kitted out in full gear, this means that fil2b has to drive to the ceremony venue with my sons suit to get him ready there while h2b is having his interview with the registrar before the ceremony and they are to phone me to let me know they have arrived safely.

Like i said, not really diva, just common sense but i have been really really firm on it!!

My diva moment has been bunting....I really want a vintage tea party look and wanted to decorate the outside of the venue....its right on a riverbank with a bridge over to an island where we are having our welcome drinks and sweetie bar....anyway i wanted to decorate it all with bunting but couldnt find any readymade that i likeso I have recruited one of my BMs and my mum to make me 60 metres of bunting out of 6 different fabrics that ive chosen!

It wont go to waste though cos me and H2B plan to hang some in the babies room when we start our family....this helped soothe my mum a little who thought i was insane!

other than that though ive been faily calm about the whole thing so hopefully i wont go off the deep end as it gets closer...

Little Miss Bossy - is your flowergirl throwing actual edible cupcakes?

Blondmumma - totally common mummy sense!

    Thank you SammyJo.
Future Mrs. M - not edible ones. That would be a bit - very - messy and icky and I'm sure the venue wouldn't have it :-) Tiny crocheted ones.

We'll also have lots of bunting! Though that's one of the few things I am not making because it works out cheaper to buy ready made one off the bay than buy all the fabric.

We have opted for the diva day. My initial ideas were 2 k day. Whoops, add another 10 and the honeymoon in mexico, thank god my BM is house sitting or we'd have to take the cats with us. Who said we should put the money to good use and use it as a deposit. We have romeo and Juliet sinks, a double ended roll tap bath and a million jet shower, for just one night. Hmmm me thinks no hanky pinky, we'll be having a shower then a bath then a shower then a bath and then a shower and coming down to breakfast looking kn ack red for all the wrong reasons.....

    I'm now a married woman
    I have a gorgeous husband
    Whats to do now

Our diva allowance is probably going to be our honeymoon, which is hopefully going to be 3 weeks in New Zealand. Having said that, the more I think about and look at wedding stuff, the more likely it seems that we'll end up having all those things I originally said I was fine with not having. Most extravagent of those I think is a videographer, I know it wont seem that extravagent to some, but it's definitely a step off the modest budget boat for us if we did!

My dress I'll probably get from she who must not be named, I'm not too bothered about expensive shoes that no ones going to see and make my feet ache lol, happy with a modest, mostly diy head piece... Not having cars cause I get travel sick really easy and can't stand the things... Spending on lego flowers about as much as fair priced normal flowers would be...Think I need to find me something Divaish, I think I deserve it :D

erm (coughs) cant pick out one diva thing! Most of our plans have been pretty divaish in hindsite but thats just the way it turned out. We just know what we like. We knew we wanted a gorgeous venue, knew we wanted to spend a fair whack on entertainement, and hubby to be thought my shoes were important because having jimmy written in my shoe so my dad can be there after all (dads name jimmy, he got me jimmy choos). I dont know which is most divaish so feel free to look in my profile and tell me off for our divaish ways haha!

oh I have got it.... my main diva thing is the food. I want lamb even though it will cost us more. Hubby to be currently refusing as he says its a waste of money and chicken is cheaper. I said, I didnt want to skimp on the food and I dont like chicken anyways so if hubby to be doesnt come around to my way of thinking, I am having lamb all by myself haha. I dont know why but as a kid Ive never liked chicken. I can eat the legs but thats it. I think I just find it too dry. Thats spitting my dummy out I guess so I guess thats my worse diva moment.
