i have been told to wash it the night before. there is no way i would leave it for 3 days. i dont even like washing it at night for the next day!!

i have to wash mine everyday otherwise it is disgusting!! even when i put it up you can tell it is greasy. i am sure if you washed it the day before in the morning it will be fine!! x

I think it is totally individual to the type of hair. She may have advised 3 days because of your hair type. I can't wash mine more than 3 times a week or it looks like candy floss. It takes a good week of not washing it before it even threatens to look greasy. Whereas my BM's hair starts looking lank and greasy by the end of the day after washing it in the morning.

I definitely know that most hairstylists say not to wash it the day of the wedding because the style will hold better and the hair is easier to work with when it's not just been washed. Perhaps the style she is doing in your type of hair will work out better if it's not been washed for a couple of days?

i suffer with mild psoriasis and the doc told me i have to wash my hair once a week lol. i try 2 leave it but after 3 days i have to wash it but its actually healthy for it, if you don't.
i will probably do mine the morning before the wedding as i know my hair drops straight away even if use really good products but thats jus my hair. Everybody's is different.

Im a hairdresser and I know someone who hasnt washed their hair for 3 months but you would never tell. Hair cleans itself if you leave it long enough, hers looks great, shiny, full, perfectly clean. Weird huh??

i have washed mine every day for most of my life, it gets greasy after just one day, and i have long straigth hair that hairdressers describe as "very fine, but lots of it" so I am gonna have problems on my wedding day with my hair I think. Cause I WILL be washing it!

i spoke to my friend today (who is my hairdresser) she said it all depends what style you are having and also what sort of hair you have, curls stay in better if washed the day before but she thinks theres no need for leaving it 3 days! she said i could wash mine the night before and it will be fine by the time she comes to do it :) she said the best thing is for each individual to ask their hairdressers x

21st October 2011 will be the best day of my life!!!

i tried to train my hair but got lazy in the days in between and used that dry shampoo, is that still ok to 'train' cos my hair is awful and i wish i didn't have to wash it every single morning cos i have to blowdry it before i go to work which is drying it out and making it go even worse and produce more oil to keep healthy why is been a woman evil sometimes

hey girls , im a hairdresser and usualy i advise brides and bridesmaids to wash thier hair the day before in moning or early lunch this way its clean but not flyaway. the reson is as the hair is too soft as we naturally produce a natural layer of oils to protect our scalp from colouring etc. so washing the hair the morning before will leave it cean and product will be used on the day. i wouldnt adise 3 days as hair naturally need to be washed every other day at the least.

    hope this helps -xx-

i suppose it depends on the style hun. when i had my hair done for my sisters wedding, i was told to wash my hair the night before but then to put hair mousse in it to help it style. she put my hair up in minutes with no probs and it looked great. i think its also the sylists preference. some will say no products some will say use mousse. wash the night before or wash 2 days before. 3 days is a little extreme though x

I got married last year and my bridesmaids were asked by my stylist not to wash their hair the day before due to the style they were having and one of them refused and washed her hair in the morning and my poor stylist had to fill her hair with dry shampoo, spray etc to get the style to go properly! I was not happy as her hair took twice as long!

I was asked not to wash mine for 3 days which to me is not a problem as I only wash mine twice a week any more than that and I would just have a huge head of unmanagable hair. On my trial my hair had been washed the day before and the stylist had terrible trouble getting all my hair up into the style I wanted.

So I think it comes down to your hair and your style...... if you suffer with greasy hair then you should tell your stylist and discuss with her the options but the last thing you want on your wedding day is your hair not going to the way you want it to. x

    Good luck for your day.x

As a wedding stylist, i personally think the night before is fine. Wash it and lightly condition it and then work a good mousse through your hair, blast it dry, but DONT straighten it as that makes hair very difficult work with....if your having it put up and the stylist is finding it too soft to work with then suggest working a dry shampoo through it, works a treat!!!! Ive never not been able to work with hair when my brides have followed this advice.......Hope this helps.

I leave my hair for days and days all the time, the only time i ever need to wash it regularly is when I use any products. Most of the time my head itchs and it's a sign that it needs washing. If my hair is smelly or greasy I put some talc on and brush it though, that usually sorts it no problemo. I know it seems dirty but my hair is in really good condition because of it, I have also shied away from styling it too often. When wet hair is brushed its stretches and breaks, I can't imagine putting my hair through that everyday.x
