Wedding Forum - Did you go to help choose the suits?...

We had to re-arrange our appointment because of the snow (thank god it has gone!) and in that time I am now questioning whether I should go to the appointment or let h2b go alone with the best man? I woud like to go because I will ask all the questions that h2b won't even think of (such as pageboys, collection, fittings etc.) and be able to pick the right colour cravat to match bridesmaids, but I don't want to intrude. What did everyone else do? xx

my h2b picked what he wanted and i went and orderd them, only because i was out with my parents. he got what he wanted.

We going in an couple weeks, am going but it's all down to h2b and best men want having am going to sort out the deposit and just to make sure the purple is the right shade as I since on website that they go a few shades of colour and I h2b will go yay that one, where as I got a cut of the ribbon that I've been matching up with everything to get the right one.

I went cos I'd like an idea, and want it to go with the theme x

I think I'll be going with him but only because he will get fed up really quickly and want to leave. lol. x

Me and my other half are going today :) He's gonna be picking which one he likes, but I just want to see it so I can match colours and stuff!

Id like it to be a surprise...he doesnt see my dress...i dont want to see his suit...

In my opinion no!
He's a grown man and has been dressing himself for god knows how many years and you obviously like the way he dresses so TRUST HIM!
This is his wedding day to so the only thing Ive told my h2b is that he has to have red or ivory cravets (cravets was his choice) to go with the color theme apart from that its all down to him as he is the one who has to wear it all day!
I pick my dress and the bridesmaids he picks his suit and the mens........only fair!

He's still unsure of his family's kilt or a suit so will be a surprise for me on the day hehehe

Even though I was with him when he chose the suits, I was not there at the fittings, that was with himself, his brother and our two boys. My big boys went in themselves to be measured up. I never actually saw hubby in his until the day though.

I went with my OH when he bought his kilt, but that was just because I was paying the deposit for it, he chose the specific tartan that he wanted and which jacket he was going to wear

i went because we were unsure if we wanted to stick with a short suit or go tradition and have a tail suit. i prefer the colours to match and wanted grey, my OH has chosen a grey stripe trouser with black jacket and ivory waistcoat. i said it was up to him what he wanted to wear and his choice, i just wanted to see it. x x

but yeh i definitely would go with them/him :) xxx

We haven't really thought about looking yet but when it comes to going, I shall be going along, as h2b is rubbish with asking the right questions & getting info! xx

I voted yes even though we aren't picking them yet. Well he is picking the suits but I will be there and this is because if I think a certain suit does not look right I will tell him though ultimately I think the choice will be his.

If he wants me to, I'll go, if he doesn't I'll trust his judgment enough to get something suitable. I know he wants a grey suit, not sure what shade, but I'll just send him off with some blue material that it needs to match for the thingies that go in thier pockets and the button holes. I want his outfit to be a surprise as well - i know theres not really much variation with suits lol, but id still not like to see it if i can help it til the day :)
