I am new to UK bride and would love any advice you can offer for my destination wedding in Greece. I am expecting 35-50 guests and I would like to do a majority of the planning on my own (with my mom & sisters help), but of course, hire a week-of wedding planner to handle the details leading up to our big day. I am on a budget, but would love a sunset cruise before dinner. I'd also like to organize villas/apartments for myself & our guests. I want this wedding to be intimate, elegant and simple. For me, it's all about love & sharing this special day with my closest family & friends who will fly in for the event an make a vacation out of it.
Our date will be sometime in late-September/early-October. We're thinking Crete, or Athens, or Santorini. I am open to all suggestion, vendor contacts and assistance. I'll be teaching English in Taiwan leading up to the wedding so I won't be able to visit until 9 days before the wedding.

I'm marrying in Crete, and I have a wedding planner doing the legal side and I'm planning the rest myself.... There is no legal reason for you to be on the Island of Crete anytime before the wedding...
