Our venue have been giving us a bit of a run around, got my phone number wrong so nearly lost our provisional booking, and then sent our contract to the wrong address (even though I spelt it out for her and watched her write it down, it was fairly close, so it wasn't just a case of getting our papers mixed u[p with someone else!) But while I was out at work today, Ben hand delivered the contract, paid the deposit and got in touch with the registrar and booked our slot! So now it's 100% official, we're getting married at 1pm on 14th September 2013! I didn't realise it would be such a big deal to me actually having it all in place, but I was nearly in tears on the phone to him when he told me, suddenly it seems so real... we're getting married! EEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Congratulations emmaaa - very exciting
You can claire but some places wont let you provisionally book the registrar - you can only officially book it 12 months in advance! We had to phone the registrar exactly one year in advance and hope we got the time we wanted
There are so many people out there who will tell you
what you can't do.
What you have to do is turn around and say, "watch me"!!

Some places can be funny booking more than a year in advance as i know alot of my friends here are getting married by a registrar and are having to wait till only 6 months before to book. We were lucky as we are having the ceremony in a church so have been able to book it early. x

Congrats hun, yeah we booked the registrar last week and its over 12months to go we had to pay an advanced booking fee of £30 on top of the deposit!! anyway- happy planning! x
